For those who celebrate Christmas... How is your Christmas tree decorated? What does it look like/have on it? Mine: LED bulb lights, yellow halogen light combination with golden ball ornaments, golden angel ornaments, silver French horn ornaments, burgundy cylinder shaped ornaments, burgundy pearls that wrap around the tree, a little bit of golden tinsel on top, and an angel on the very top.
hmmm mine: rainbow lights and normal lights, a crazy assortment of ornaments that don't particularly match, tinsel (gold) and an angel the glows on the top plus my cat sitting under it haha
We do a real tree. We have garlands that are like pearls and garlands that are like tiny Christmas ornaments that alternate between gold and colors in a rainbow pattern. We do pretty much all sorts of ornaments--no particular pattern or theme. We have collected them over the years and are often given them as gifts. Each ornament is different and selected on it's own merits rather than as part of a set or a theme. Out tree topper is Glinda from the Wizard of Oz and we have a pink brocade tree skirt that matches Glinda's dress. On a sidenote, Glinda fell and broke her crown a couple years back and we ended up gluing it back together because when I tried to find a replacement online they apparently have become sort of collectible and the cheapest I could find of the type we have was almost $500! I paid $19.99 for the blasted thing and as much I may treasure it I'm not paying $500 to replace it! We also do a smaller artificial tree which is our gay-themed tree. Yeah, you heard me right, the tree with Glinda on the top and the pink tree skirt is not the gay-themed tree.:icon_wink
Real noble fir tree from a lot, traditional colored incandescent lights (LED lights are horrid!), and a variety of ornaments: a lot of red ones (red balls, shiny and not), old ornaments from the 50s, and ornaments my mom has collected over the years. Most of them are glass.
4ft artificial tree. No lights, various ornaments gathered over the years, red tinsel, clear crackle plastic bead string, And a dominatrix Christmas fairy. Yes you heard that right!
We have a real tree (I think it's a Douglas fir?) with red and silver garland, multiple strings of lights, and lots of random ornaments. We just have some weird silver spike thing for the top.
9" in an antique blue and white cachepot with some gold plaid ribbon. My apartment wouldn't handle more than a table to tree. I hung ornaments on the garland around the bay window though.
My tree exactly, lol. Though I do like my Christmas tree, plus the lack of many ornaments makes it look all humble and shy. You get to appreciate each ornament, because there aren't much, and you kind of feel like every single one is special.
mine is a 7 foot narrow tree, artifical prelit. we use ornaments from my son's childhood, and ones that have meaning to us both. along with candy canes, and fake poinsettia flowers and a new angel that i got for us to start over with this year. i have pics in the farourite ornaments thread.
Fake tree (of course) pre-lit with white LEDs, an old Christmas tree skirt, numerous ornaments that have been being collected since the year I was born and a silver star atop it. We also have a mini tree with a bunch of little ornaments a skirt and a red star that we just got this year and my mini black Christmas tree with a small bell atop it.
My parents have a fake tree but I insist on getting a real one; it's just not the same without the smell. My tree this year is quite a bit smaller than the ones I've had in the past, but I like it. My ornaments are all over the place -- I have one for each of my sports teams, one for Canada, one for the United States, a bunch of extras my mom had, and some that were gifts to me during past Christmases (it seems like I usually get one in my stocking most years).
its a 3 ft one with flashing lights on the window ledge looks nice from the outside my cats dont like it much because its in their napping space they got used to it .
It's a real 7 foot tree with white lights, silver tinsel, red ribbons, an old gold star and a whole variety of ornaments.
We got lights on ours in basically every color of the rainbow! The cat loves this time of year since she gets to hang out under the tree and pounce me when I'm not expecting it.
