The worst accident you've ever had...

I've had a lucerne hammer impaled in my shoulder:

 

Nothing too bad, actually. I did fall head-first off the top bunk when I was a kid, was knocked unconscious for a few seconds, and went to hospital as a precaution. I was fine though, just with a throbbing head.

That really is the worst. I've been pretty lucky, especially considering how reckless I am. I've come very close to being run over a lot of times.

 

Being hit by a car surprisingly doesn't make it. I was left with a few bruises, a cut and scuffed shoes.

My worst was actually having the fingers of my left hand stuck in the hinge-side of a door that was slammed when I was about 11. They were purple for a few months. It took a while for them to fully heal and the pain lingered for a lot longer than I would have thought.

I've been pretty lucky as far as accidents go. The most recent was breaking my big toe about two months ago and having a stress fracture along the bottom of my foot near it.

 

One time when I was 4 I was jumping on a recliner well listening to the cheetah girls and then the recliner sprung and I flew back and hit my head on the wall. I started bleeding like crazy and I was crying my ass off and my dad was trying to calm me down and I was like is this blood? And he's like no it's lava and I was like ok and he ran like an hour late for work that day because he had to clean up my blood. And then I had a little bald spot on my head for like 5 years but now that bald spot is gone and I have hair there which is nice.

 

How on Earth did that happen?

 

Well... I'm both a martial arts and medieval history enthusiast.
Two of my greatest passions.

And I don't care much for staged fights and choreography, I like full-contact sparring.
Still have that scar. Still won that fight.

 

I imagine he was in a battle?

/thread - There was a similar thread some time ago... Anyway, bashing my head on concrete after slipping on the ice, was out of it ~6-7 hours with what I would guess is short term amnesia caused by swelling? Didn't see a doctor but that was mainly because I couldn't move for around ~4 days. The scariest part was the whole "can't remember what happened to me" thing...

 

okay so there was that time when i was a kid i sprained my neck cuz my brother accidentally dropped me or whatever gettin me outta the car. and i don't know if i sprained it another time jumpin on the bed?? i'm confused if i sprained it only once or twice

anyway, then early 2011 i was sittin in my office chair, legs folded underneath me facin the back of the chair, watchin tv. and i had my upper body pushin or whatever on the top of the back of the chair. i think i was kinda just spinnin or sumthin, nuthin crazy, just casually i think.

and then before i knew it i was crashin headfirst into the glass door of the fireplace and split up my upper forehead basically and blood started comin and i was like cryin and mum drove my ass to the hospital and i got stitches

and yeah scar's still there, and there's part of it that still is light blue?? whatever it's cool

 

I was painting the lines on the baseball field for my parks and rec. job. I tripped over the chalker and had about a 1 inch gash on my shin after it got caught on the metal lever on the bottom that controls the release of the chalk. No stitches thankfully, but it bled pretty badly.

 

I hit a pothole on my bike and got 8 stitches. I'm lucky it's the worst that's happened

When I was four I fell off a chair and busted my chin open.

When I was 10 I slammed my dace on the playground slide and almost broke my nose (I had a bloodied and bruised face.)

Then there was the time I got hit in the vagina with the corner of a science lab table in the sixth grade.

 

nothing major but i did piss myself at a walmart one time :icon_redf

Fell from a 2 m high platform and broke my arm three years ago. Not that dramatic but it hurt like hell.

And when I was nine I stumbled while holding a needle in my hand... it had to be surgically removed. (After I spend two hours insisting on it being still in my hand and no one believed me because you couldn't see anything. Turned out I was right.)

 

Turned into a lamprey.

 

I was playing with my younger sis when I was four in our dining area and I fell on the tile and fell on top of me which broke my arm/elbow. Another time I ran face first into....you know this could go on for a while. I'll just leave it at that.


I to was once a great adventurer but then I took a wall to the face.

 

I once fell with my bike which isn't that special, but it was like all the circumstances were perfect for a freaky accident. There was blood everywhere, I spent two nights in the hospital, and was unable to properly walk for two weeks.
