To what extent would you make it available?

I wouldn't support anyone who votes for 4th position, but it's there just in case there's actually a lgbt member that wants that as a option.

I'm sure some folks would want it and, you know, that's their choice.

However, the problem comes from those who would "force it". The religious extreme and the socially ignorant would use it to justify their beliefs, and that could be a fuckin' mess. Just sayin'.

Personally, I don't know if I'd take it. I like being able to find degrees of attractiveness and appeal, from all walks and looks of life, and don't think I'd be quite as deep without such an ability.

Now, if there was a pill to instantly/quickly change my body, well, that is a little more tempting to somebody in my situation.

Question: do you mean any sexual orientation but not perversions, right?

I would make it available to no one, mainly because of this:

I originally voted publically available because people should be to generally do what they want until I read kaisers post and realized it may be forced on others, so I would say not at all.

I would never take one though, even if it was easily available

My heart says to pick the first option, but I'd be concerned about the pill getting out and being abused. It is with some regret, that I vote 'nobody at all.' I would destroy this pill for the greater good. I envision many people that haven't quite yet come to terms with their sexuality being persuaded to take this pill and it makes me feel sick.

Agreeing with pretty much all of the above. The main worry would be when people would use it as oppression, i.e. "Hey, there's this pill that'll change your sexual orientation! By refusing to take it, you're choosing to be gay! Take this pill, because [insert noun associated with religion] says homosexuality is wrong!"

    NEVER

Homosexuality is the same as left-handness. less common, equally valid, confirmed by every serious health organization in all the developed countries.

Homophobia is impacting our daily lives, from finding a partner to being respected, to form our families. I bet that ALL the LGB people who would want to change their orientation because the homophobic damage.

Now a pill to cure homophobia, which is an irrational prejuice or phobia recognized by psycology, would be great.

to the people who said yes. would you allow a pill that turned black people white?
I am sure that many chinese and indian parents would love a people to turn daughters into sons ( not talking about trans people, they experience disphoria and their mental gender is not their physical gender, so the hypothetic pill would be their transition)

We are not AVATARS, and allowing a pill like that means that somehow straight is better than the others, something that I don't agree at all. Here we are equal.

I chose to make it available to those who want self acceptance(the extreme case could work, too), because I'm guessing we are talking in an ideal situation(ie not having anyone forced).

Would I take it? Well it would've been nice to be clear if there were any specifics for what the pill does; Anyways...

A straight {or at least potentially bi/pan) pill? Of course I would because I absolutely despise my current orientation.

Is it a 'sexual' pill? I might consider taking that too because it's really tiring hearing everyone preach about how important and importantly healthy sex is and all that blah, making it out as if those of us on the ace spectrum have some serious :***: mental issue.

    Oh dear, I hope I ain't overdosing.

I think something like that would be awesome, but only if there is also one to turn white people black. Or Asian, or whatever.

Just as a style preference. Some people may think they would look better if they had different skin color, or Asian/western eyes. (I might take the Asian one, lol)

And I have a feeling something like that won't be forced as much as the "heterosexual" pill... Well that would depend on the area of the world of course.... And I may be completely wrong.

I personally am proud to be who I am, but not everyone is. I think that if this became a thing only lgbt... people should know about it.

Nope, I wouldn't do it. I just like men and I like being gay. I guess if I lived in Iran, I might, but given my current circumstances, no.

I don't think that it should be made available at all. Like Kaiser mentioned, there could be some fanatics who will force whomever (their kids, spouse, etc.) to take the pill, which could just lead to another kettle of fish.
