I mean they were fun when I was kid/teenager. Saving my lunch money and going to the galleria every weekend with friends and spending it on DDR, House of the Dead, Marvel vs. Capcom, Time Crisis, etc. I'd rather much play video games and be social at an arcade then play on a PS4 or XBox and hear people talk smack all day. Anyone else miss them?

Yeah arcades were great! When I lived in NYC, there were many of them around. I went to them every week haha. Playing DDR, Killer Instinct, Soul Calibur, Tekken 5, and Virtual-On was so much fun.

There is an arcade near my university, but the game selection is small.

The arcades at Dave & Buster's are pretty big. I'd definitely want to check that out whenever I'm free...

I rarely go to them but it seems like there are a lot of them where I live. I wasn't aware something happened to them.

We don't really have arcades here, I must admit though I'm jealous seeing videos of Japanese arcades, they look a hell of a lot of fun.

Like this crazy monstrosity (warning, some swearing in video):

I went to one recently that had many older games in it. It was fun.

Yes! I really miss arcades. Our mall had an awesome arcade back when I was a preteen and young teen. Then it closed down and our mall slowly went down hill also. I had so much fun at the arcade back in the day, though!

That's awesome, though I've never been to a Dave and Busters...

Arcades are fun. They're a good pass time, they're perfect for a date, or you can meet someone there  hah

I loved arcades when I was a teenager. We would head to the arcade in the mall. I loved watching my friend, who was insanely good at Mortal Kombat, keep lining them up and knocking them down (other players, that is). Good times, good times...

I always watched people play plus the other boys would not let me play and they would say "your a girl you can't play " :icon_sad: .
So no sir I do not miss it all thanks to the game consonsles that can be played at home I don't have to hear your a girl you can't play . Or have the lady who looked after me come drag me out of the arcade because I'm a girl and shouldn't be playing .:tantrum:

I do miss arcades, I remember when I was younger me and my family would go over the boarder to Massena, New York the mall there had a great arcade and even a merry go round so I loved it there when I was a kid. It's a lot of fun, I also agree that it would be a cute idea for a date. You can combine both of your tickets and get your date something they really want that she/he needed more tickets for. I don't know, I think it would be cute  don't see them too often now though.

We still have arcades here and me and my best friend are still children at heart so we still blow money on the games whenever we go to a mall that has one XD I mean aging is inevitable, growing up is a choice
