    Hi guys!

What is the purpose of your life?

    As for me,

I want to be a better person and love myself, find my twin flame and settle down with him, living a simple life.

    How about you?

Taking all the pleasures, emotions and experiences of this universe in till my very last breath, while giving and receiving as much love as possible.

I have a hard time disagreeing with this. Maybe adding "understanding" to that list as well.

I don't think you need to understand everything to enjoy it.

For example, I don't know what is the exact cause for my bisexuality and my polygamy, I don't know why I'm capable of giving so much love, I don't know which wires, cells or what part of my soul makes it possible, made me the way I am - I enjoy it immensely and just take it in as is.

Technically speaking there is no purpose to life, other than the natural evolution of life itself. However because we as human beings are selfish, we tend to cling to the idea of finding happiness. There is nothing wrong with this, and I too share this idea. Till my dying breath I wish to experience all that life has to offer, I wish for this because it is a desire hardwired into my brain.

Of course not; wonder is part of the experience though. And generally, the more I know about something, the more I appreciate it.

A few years ago, I read this somewhere: "The purpose of my life is giving life a purpose." - and that's what I try to live by.

I'm a hopeless romantic, so even unconsciously I'll always be seeking "the one" (as cliché as that sounds) and above all, I want to be happy and, in order to achieve total bliss, I still have something to check of the list, like: falling in love, traveling anywhere and everywhere (wherever the wind takes me), successfully getting a book published, leave my legacy by raising a son/daughter and make a change in the world(as little as it might be) just so the future generations will know that I was here.

    ... I dream big, I know.

I have none, not even a subjective purpose (we all know the objective purpose is unclear), and I think that's something I need to change.

i guess for me the purpose of life is making it easier for yourself and the people around you, no one may remember us in a thousand years but we have to make the best with what we have. the purpose of life is being happy, thats what all religions are trying to find, happiness, so i would say if you have these moments once in a while where you feel completely content and you have gratitude for what you have, then you have found the purpose of life.

My purpose of life is to live. I've given up on a target purpose, even if it does happen. Whenever I plan things out, life seems to take a different direction into a different story. Not that I mind

To experience emotions to the absolute maximum and use them to influence the world and the people around me - doing this through music, creative writing, and generally acting empathetically towards people.

Have fun, love your family (and friends), respect yourself (and other people), strife to learn for the sake of knowledge, indulge in different experiences and contribute something valuable to the world before you die.

    ---------- Post added 6th Jan 2015 at 01:15 AM ----------

Technically speaking, it is nigh impossible to live a life if there is no personal purpose.

Haha. There is always someone 'better' at what you do. Though (presumably), circumvented the occupation hazards and (hopefully) do not derive sadistic pleasure?!

It all comes down to what you personally believe as being personal. What you think are reasons genuine to you, I call simple human nature. It is by no means anything bad, it is just not a good reason in my opinion to justify life. Surely there must be something else besides basic human instincts.
