Congratulations on the interview. I would say if it seems like something you are interested in you should go for it. Just make sure you have a phone on you just in case something were to happen

Well you can't ignore them, but you can acknowledge their opinion and do what you feel is best anyway. After a certain point their responsibility is to guide you, not control you.

You are 20, and unless they have some legal guardianship, you should be able to make yourself gainfully employed.

There are ways to make yourself safer. For instance, promise, you will call and be on the phone when the father gets home from work. Take a couple of self-defense courses, get mace. Do whatever you are comfortable with, and is legal in your area.

Every person alive ought to be taught how to defend themselves and others, from a very young age.

Well. They can't make you do anything you don't want to do.

You're an adult who's capable of making your own career choices.

Consider their opinion, but you don't have to do as they say.

Do they have a reason to think the guy is a rapist? If not, then just explain to them that this job benefits you in your future and that you are capable of handling yourself.

If he is, well... make sure you're safe.

the guy is a male carer is that what you mean so he`d be giving personal care- dressing exc to female residents quite common btw ,but surely it would make things easier if you were doing the same. thing as people have mentioned you are old enough to do what you want .

Does he look like a rapist?.... Just because he's a male carer doesn't mean he is a rapist. I say go for it, you're an adult.. It's your decision to make.

If he tries anything sock him in the face, and scream your head off
