do you think you are different on ec than you are in the real world?

I said slightly different because im way more social on here than in real life.

 

Probably exactly the same but I don't know. I tend to think of myself consistent on/offline but that may not be the case.

 

I say slightly different, the only palpable difference being that I'm a little more open on a sexuality-themed website than in my general life away from EC.

 

Mostly the same.

But I'm given a little longer to think about some of the more serious questions on here. So my thoughts are sometimes a little more articulate.

 

Slightly different. I am much quicker to geek out over cute things and people, mostly ^-^

Probably more polite and less foul-mouthed on here. Every other word I utter in daily life is a curse word, however crass it may appear, but I try to limit it on here.

 

I'm only a little different. Here, I'm a normal guy. Outside of here, not so much. :dry: I want to change that in the near future and be a normal guy 24/7!

 

I'm open to a smattering of people in real life.

I'm much more open to anonymous people on the internet.

 

I'm probably a little more shy/quiet in real life; also, I'm probably a little more positive here.

However, how I act in the real world can also depend on who I am with.

 

More social, but as blunt a clever as I always am.

 

I'm exactly the same. There's not much to it, I just think that it's better to be me than to be a fake me.

 

I'm getting there, but I want to know more of who I am, what I want, and such, before announcing to every one and the world who I am.

 

It is not something I can determine for myself, because difference can be established by those around us, when they compare us to the rest of society. I assume many here think themselves to be different, but instead went for slightly different, so as to not appear presumptuous. The truth is, most of us feel that we are unique, and we are, but to ourselves. This is not necessarily true in the eyes of others.

Obviously, I can't do the above offline as well. So, off the bat, a lot of my approach is different here than it is offline. This includes tidbits of my sense of humor, which relies on textual or animated .gif aids, leaving me only my wit and immediate surroundings.

In terms of personality, though, I'm roughly the same. The one thing I do here a little more is, well, I let go with my feelings. But that is one purpose of this forum, to just sort of let it out and vent, and maybe feel better as a result. If not from simply venting, then perhaps from a sympathetic or kind ear, or a wise word will.

There's also the benefit of, having time to actually think out or about, what you want to say. You can polish it up, with some fancy fonts or pretty colors, tinker around with the size, and so on and so forth. You also don't have that face-to-face, which can make for a less on-the-spot kind of situation, and doesn't leave you with as much anxiety.

All in all, what you see, is what you get.

 

The same, I always stand by: "Whatever I say online, I would say to someone's face"

 

I get more time to voice my opinions in a comprehensible way here lol. Other than that I'm pretty much the same irl.

 

As far as I know, I'm exactly the same. =) At least, closest to exactly the same. The way I behave, the things I talk about, my opinions, it's the same. I can't pin down a difference between the me in real life, and me on EC. =)

 

Pretty much what you see, is what you get ^_^ I don't think I'm any different in real life as opposed to being here on EC.

Except perhaps my name. I have many names outside of EC... *smiles mysteriously*
