I'm most likely the one sending them, honestly.

I join them and that generally makes them stop.

I try my hardest to respond. I feel like I should produce at least a paragraph for their effort.

I read them. It could be something very important and I don't want to skip over details that are important and worth paying attention to.

I don't remember ever receiving what I would call a "Long, boring text message". But in any case, I would always read whatever anyone sends me. And then I would try to respond appropriately.

Yeah, this is me (although not usually over SMS). I can get pretty wordy when talking to people I really like and worry about making it a burden to reply.

Nope. Like I said it never happened to me either, lol.

Actually, I tend to be the one writing long text messages. When I have a lot to say, it is easier to say it through text. Although I do hope I don't bore people when I do, lol.

    Depends on the person.

If I care about that person I would read it... several times 'till I am sure I understand it perfectly. Then reply it.

Considering most people that I know of who text, don't tend to type out more than 10 words, if any of them sent me anything "long and boring", it would be worth reading I'm sure.

I think I'm more of an offender of this, sometimes, but usually with typing. Texting is... it isn't as casual or comfortable to me. Still, I can be a bit winded at times, but I do my best to keep it as concise as possible.

Also, there's a difference in somebody being long-winded, and somebody repeating themselves over and over. You know, things along the lines of:

Thanks for ___! Really appreciate it. I hope we can chill sometime soon. It'd be really cool to do this again, you know? Because I really liked hanging out, and would totally be done for doing it again. You're awesome to hang out with! Definitely my favorite person to chill with.

I'd rather deal with inflated messages than repetitive ones. And besides, any length message takes time, so, I can at least honor/humor that, by giving it a read.

Depends on the message. If someone randomly copy pasted something from the internet, which I find to be incredibly dull, then I'll joke a bit with that person. =] If someone has a (serious) problem, but the message is dull, then I'll still try to help generally speaking.

I don't think a message is boring just because it's long, that depends on the subject matter. but normally when a text is too long and dry for my I usually try to imply my disinterest politely with a close-ended few words reply

I made a topic about that long time ago !
I have a problem reading bulks of texts that are not paragraphed, at some point i just read words but nothing goes to brain.
So i either copy the entire thing into a text editor and make a lot of "enter"s or give up, change my name, move country, and act like this never happened.
