I came out to a friend and in the process even thwarted her apathy towards Prop 8 enough to motivate her to vote against it. She said she should do it for my sake, and I said it could be her gift to me for the rest of my life.  I have the warm fuzzies.

Major bummer though, she told me that she hasn't re-registered to vote after moving, and just missed the deadline.... ...I'd like to think that she would've done it for me though.
