I came out to a friend and in the process even thwarted her apathy towards Prop 8 enough to motivate her to vote against it. She said she should do it for my sake, and I said it could be her gift to me for the rest of my life. I have the warm fuzzies.
HA! HA HA HA !!!! You lucky, lucky girl! I just talked to my soon-to-be-ex wife, and asked her to please, PLEASE vote no on 8, that I would consider it an early birthday present. Major bummer though, she told me that she hasn't re-registered to vote after moving, and just missed the deadline.... ...I'd like to think that she would've done it for me though.
That is a huge bummer. D: I'll try and convince another person to vote no and I'll have it dedicated to you. Well actually - I'm trying to convince everyone regardless, but of course every person I convince is dedicated to all queers everywhere.
