I'm just curious as to what sort of sports the population here at EC like the most.

It seems that demographically a lot of the members are from either Canada or the United Kingdom, and it occured to me that I don't know a darn thing about sports in either country.

So.. tell me, I'd love to hear it.

My favorite sport is rowing, which I am actively involved in.

EDIT: I didn't realize there are two categories really. To watch, and to play. Hmm, give me both!

  2. My favourite sport...to watch or take part in?

To watch it would have to be either gymnastics or diving.

To take part in, swimming or football

To play? I dunno...I'm not much of an athlete. Basketball, I guess.

To watch? Football. Even if my favorite teams suck:frowning2:

Martial arts and running - I have black belts in kenpo karate and taekwondo, and I run about 12-15 miles a week. Unfortunately I don't have an awful lot of time to train in martial arts at the moment due to my college workload, but when I have more time I'll start training for my taekwondo 2nd dan. The flipside to that though is that I get a LOT of injuries when I'm doing more than 1-2 martial arts classes a week - I tried going to more classes over the summer and I aggravated an old injury.

I play football (soccer) every Wednesday. The wednesday gone, I scored a fabulous ~18 yard volley.

I don't think any of my teammates could believe it went in, considering I started as keeper. What a goal. =D

How do you not know what kind of sports are popular in Canada?
Hello.. HOCKEY!! and Lacrosse, it's what we're known for.

I only really watch Hockey. Go Flames Go!
I'll watch football from time to time and I watch the Olympics when they're on.

I'll play pretty much anything. Phys Ed was my favourite class back in high school. Favourite sport to play would be Hockey, Lacrosse, Rugby, Volleyball.
