I was in History today, and my teacher began talking about her husband. He said he had a gay sneeze. I was quite shocked so I didn't say anything, and I know this only the once but what should I do if this happens again?
Well you might say its not nice to mock people... gay people are people like everyone else... what do you think the reaction of your classmates would be ? (*hug*)
...The teacher said it? Well you could just point out it's not a good usage of the word, and doesn't set a great example. Maybe ask precisely what makes a sneeze, gay. And if they're stubborn play the "talk to their boss" card, I guess.
This is exactly what I'd do. Having said that, I'm older and braver than I was when I was at school. When you're older you have less tolerance for fools.
Person 1: You have a gay sneeze. Person 2: You have an idiot brain. Person 1: You hurt my ignorant feelings. Person 2: You hurt the entire species.
I feel the same way as Person 2 does whenever someone describes something perceived to be stupid, dumb, annoying, etc as gay.
Sneeze on this person, and say: "Oh no! I gay-sneezed on you! That must mean you are gay too now! Right?"
A gay sneeze is when a homosexual sneezes and confetti flies out with a pride parade that follows. :rolle:
I put my grades above social change so I woudlnt say anything. I'm selfish. It won't change much anyways unless the person really cares.
