Different parts of the world seem to have a preference, for one or the other. I'm curious as to what everybody prefers, when it comes to bathing.

For me, hot shower/bath. About the only time I'll use cold water, is if I'm incredibly hot or sunburned. But even then, it has some warmth to it, because ice cold is just too much.

I cannot do ice cold or 'the devil just licked my back' hot.

I need enough warmth to burn my skin slightly. Just enough for it to tingle. If I get too used to that, I turn in up slightly.

Cold water is a no no for me. I can't handle it.

It's very weird, most nights I can't sleep very well, because I get hot very quickly, however when I shower I always shower with hot water, like close to 40 C.

Warm/hot baths in the winter, but cool to cold showers in the summer. On a day that hits 85 to 100 degrees, after walking, when I get home, I can take a shower with just cold water, and feel fine. The city water seems not to get nearly as cold in the summer probably because the whole mass of buildings/pavement/roads/bricks, pipes all heat up, and hold the heat in. So in the summer, cold showers are needed here in this southern-ish place.

Mostly I like it warm but not so hot it burns. After a good work out though or in the middle of summer when I just feel hot and gross, I turn the water to the middle and then slowly make it colder and colder. Its a beautiful thing.

Hot. Although in the summer time warm will do.

I don't do cold at all, thin people can't handle cold without annoying things like hypothermia happening lol.

Kaiser: Does this mean you are planning to run everyone on EC a bath?

Cold if I've exercised, hot if I haven't.

That's for mornings. Unless I've done something too strenuous, my evening shower is always hot.

I was expecting you to say something along the lines of, "It's only cold until I get in...".

    LOL.

I selected cold, but cool would be more accurate. I can't stand hot showers.

*quite* quite warm, ty...generally in shower form, but we had a nice large tub installed a few years ago for occasional evening relaxation :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: (and with the tub, I'd say we tend to run the water downright *hot*.

If it's been as hot as hellfire outside and there's a permanent layer of sweat on your body that will not go away no matter what you do, cold showers are the best thing ever. Since it's like that for 60% of the year where I live, I guess I'd have to go wiith cold overall, though I do take pretty hot showers iin the winter.
