I just learned about this on wikipedia  It's funny how the American version changed her entire background, in the original series she's not even a little girl but but a grown up woman This is so cool and very interesting... Actually not all the novels were adapted into films, Loop has yet to be released (probably it won't)
It's the American one she dies young in (8) I don't know about the original one (which is Japanese if I remember right). I don't even know what that was when I first found that out. Should I watch the ring, is it any good?
^ Watch the Japanese original, it's better and American remakes of Japanese movies are shit anyways. To the point of this thread, no, Sadako was a regular cis woman with psychic abilities.
To each to their own. I think it was the best out of the American's pathetic attemps to remake Japanese films (they shouldn't even bother), but that's not saying much.
Holy shit did not know that Wasn't in Ring 0, the movie that shows Sadako's past. Must have been in the novels.
I don't remember if this is explained in other movie (maybe it was explained in Spiral, the original sequel that no one really liked in Japan at the time), or if this is only explained in the novel that wasn't adapted into a film (Loop) So, basically, Sadako/Samara has 3 different backgrounds
Wasn't the vampire girl from Let the Right One in (the novel and original version) supposed to be intersex or biologically male too?
