This song first came out in 1988 so looong before 'I kissed a girl', it was a spanish song called 'Mujer contra Mujer' by Mecano.
In 2003, French singer Saya sang it and it became a hit.

Thanks for posting such a nice song. It's good for my French to try and understand it all. I can't believe it was written in 1988 though! Must have been pretty amazing at the time. Very cute pictures too

I really liked it, I'm used to the Québecois french though so there were times where I heard the word and couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be, then I check the lyrics and it was something like s'installe at the beginning, part of that has to do with the fact that she's singing, but in any case, I like it

Can't speak French - but, hey, it is supposed to be the 'language of love'...No?

Well I tried useing Google to translate (lazy..) but that was a bad idea as usual. I don't have the time right now but in anycase translating a song always makes it sound weird so you'll all have to brush up on your French :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
    + it's an easy one :icon_wink

I don't know French... except 'voulez vou couchez avec moi?'

And that's enough for me =D!

    Cute song, though

A quick (and probably highly innacurate) home-made translation:

    Two women holding hands
That's nothing to disturb your morals
One or another doubt will appear that
This goes on underneath the table

When they are alone, like they have nothing to lose
After the hands, the skin of all the rest
    A secret love
Even naked, they couldn't hide it
    So, in front of others
In the street, they disguise it as a friendship
One says it's a bad way to act
The other says it's better to let them talk

What you think or say about them does nothing
Who stops the doves in full flight
A pair at the level of the sun
    A woman with a woman

I don't want to judge them
I don't want to throw the first stone
    And if, opening the door,
I find them necking in the sitting room

I wouldn't have the audacity to cough
If it disturbs me, I only have to leave
They build their castle with my stones
Which stop the doves in full flight
A pair at the level of the sun
    A woman with a woman

One says it's a bad way to act
The other says it would be better to let them talk

What you think or say about them does nothing
Who stops the doves in full flight
A pair at the level of the sun
    A woman with a woman

Who stops the doves in full flight
A pair at the level of the sun
    A woman with a woman

If anyone can correct that I'd be very grateful, I'm pretty sure some parts are screwed up.

    Congrats, great translation !!
The only mistake you made is "A deux, au ras du sol" au ras du sol means "(really) close to the ground"

    Here's a few banana's for your trouble
