Do you like ice in your drinks? How much? Does it depend on the drink? Are there any "weird" drinks you put ice in?

    ---------------

I love "a lot" of ice in most of my drinks. I will fill a glass almost all the way with ice before pouring a Coke, sweet tea, or water (or anything else , I don't really drink hot beverages). I get upset when a restaurant serves me a drink with just a little bit of ice and then all they don't add any more ice with the refills and I have to ask. I have some cousins who were raised in a household where a lot ice in beverages was not the norm and they would always be amazed at how much ice our family uses.

Also, I like ice with orange, grape, and apple juices. I will usually finish it before it has a chance to dilute, so it's not thay sacrilegious .

I do like ice, if I have the option!

Though I don't love it so much that I'd be worried how much ice is in there. My friends often ask for the drink without ice, because they say you get more drink for your money that way. I guess they have a point!

I'm not a fan of ice in my drink, especially when your in a bar and they put loads of ice in and not much drink.

I would much prefer to have a warmer drink then less drink in my glass.

Absolutely not. I'm one of those weird people that waiters/waitresses hate when I ask for "Pepsi with no ice."

None. Ice just melts and ruins the drink. I would rather drink warm pop then that. And I drink it fast enough so that it doesn't get warm anyway.

When I remember, I will ask for "no ice". But I usually don't remember, lol.

Just to add for members who are not American, in the US most restaurants offer free refills on soft drinks/tea.

I like ice in my water and that is it. Because you can't water down water with melting ice cubes, unlike soda or tea.

Nope, I hate it. The chunks of ice getting caught in my throat is annoying, and I find that 90% of the time all the beverages I get are cold anyway so there's no point.

Yeah it is like that in Canada too. In places like that, ice doesn't bother me too much, because I tend to just gulp it all down really fast and ask for another, lol.

But in a fast food place, without free refills, I hate ice.

    Only if I'm really hot.
Otherwise it tends to dull the taste of the drink.
I never, ever order whisky on the rocks/with water. It's a waste imo.

Unless it's a hot beverage like coffee or tea, ice (enough to keep it cool for at least 20 mins.) is a must. I hate drinks at warm or ambient temperature. Nigh undrinkable.

No. Actually I avoid really cold drinks as it is damaging to the voice.

    Depends:

Mineral Water/Sparkling Water: cold, but no ice

Tap Water: Served in a chilled glass, full of ice!

Soda: Generally, cold, but no ice, unless it's not cold enough, in which case, loads of ice.

Fruit Juice, carrot juice, &c. : No ice

White Wine: No ice, obviously! Also, not too cold, so as to obscure the flavor.

Red Wine: Generally, at cellar temperature, or about 65 degrees. Though with certain ones, such as Beaujolais or lighter Pinot Noirs, I might put a very slight chill on them, especially on a hot day.

Beer: Ice cold, and I only have this in the summer, especially if I'm doing something like painting, or yard-work, to make me feel more manly =p

...mixed drinks, generally with ice, iced coffee in the summer, iced green tea.

And I also love slushes, snowballs, snow-cones, slurpees and granitas.

I don't judge you for asking for Pepsi with no ice, I judge you for asking for Pepsi.

Yeah, in most restaurants you might pay between $2-3 for a fountain drink or tea, and all the refills you want while you eat.

How does having cold drinks damage one's voice?

I don't really like ice in any of my drinks. I usually drink them before they can get warm anyways- and besides that fact, I don't care if my drinks are room temperature or even warm either. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. Plus the obvious fact that putting ice in your drink will eventually water it down and also takes up space that could be filled with more of said drink. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I don't specifically request not to have them when I eat out, but I certainly never ask for it.

I like to eat the ice so yes.

I also plan on doing some things with the ice on my first date, I want to suck on it seductively and than rub it on my date nipple while I kiss him, than after a few date and we are ready for some fun I want to take the ice and rub his ball with it while I give him some tongue pleasure. These are the reasons I like ice in my drink.
