Lately I've been craving for a tattoo, but I have my doubts. It would be my first one, so I don't want to rush things until I'm 100% sure of what I want and where I want it.

Do any of you guys have one? If not, would you get one?
Also, what would it be and where would you put it.

I have one, I've posted pictures a few times. It means a lot to me.

Its a good idea to make sure you know what you want. It'll be on you forever or cost a looooot to remove.

Don't have them, I would like one in particular that I have been thinking about for almost a year probably which is a pretty good thing, but still a little iffy about the pain although I think I'm pretty tolerant of that.

I've been dying to get a tattoo recently as well. I'm trying to force myself to wait till summer so I have time to change my mind, don't think I will tho. I keep waffling on what I want and where to put it.

I don't think I ever want one. If I do eventually want one, it would be small and something that represents Me

I don't at the moment but want to get a simple one in the future. It will probably be an equal sign tattoo representing LGBT+ equality on the shoulder, upper forearm, or wrist.

I might get one. If I were to get one, I'd probably get a valknut. :3

The idea behind it is that I see it as a symbol of interconnectedness and solidarity. Or at least, that's how I'd explain it to people who asked about it.

It's also the best Norse symbol I could think of that hasn't (as far as I know) become associated with White Power and Neo-Nazi skinheads. (Speaking of which, it's my stated goal to hack at least one of those people and completely ruin their life.)

I don't have one currently, but I would like to get a jigsaw piece on my upper arm.

I don't have one. I wouldn't get one. It just doesn't go with my appearance, age, or overall "style," whatever that is.

    To each their own, though.

I don't have one at the moment, but I'd like one for sure. The thing is I'm vegetarian, and I would have to invest in buying vegan ink if/when I get a tattoo, as most tattoo ink contains animal bone char and gelatin.

In general, the reason I would get a tattoo because it is a way I can have some control as to what goes on my skin, unlike my psoriasis.

As far as the tattoo specifically, I would get the ship that is on my signature as well as some of the background. It's the album artwork of Yellowcard's Lift a Sail. I would get it because that album has gotten me through some tough times and it came out around the time I needed it.

I've got three tattoos. Got my first one in 2007, second one in 2010, and third one almost a week ago.

My first one is the Chinese symbol for dragon, on my ankle (born in the year of the dragon). Second one is a galloping horse on my left shoulderblade. Third one is a cross-anchor-heart design meaning faith, hope, love. Third one is on my arm.

My advice to you (or anyone else thinking of getting a tattoo): What I've done is, print out a picture of what I want and put it somewhere where I'll see it everyday. Keep it there for a couple of months, or even a year, or longer. If you don't grow tired of the picture, then chances are you won't grow tired of your tattoo. Placement is also important, since it's permanent. So don't rush into getting one just for the sake of getting one.

Good luck and enjoy your ink

I for one will take several.

I have a small one on my side, by my hip. I want bees done on my knees next. Then my arms. I want something small on my upper chest, but not until after I have top surgery in case anything shifts. I'm a big fan of various tattoo styles, but I'm especially fond of line work, geometrics, and organic designs.

I've often considered it but I've always wondered if:
    1. I would get bored of it
    2. What will it look like when my skin is old and saggy? I'm sure I won't have this perfectly toned specimen of a body forever. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Nope. Never.

I don't like tattoos... especially those huge ones.

Tiny ones look sexy on people tho' so I would prefer it on my partner... it would give me something to play with...

I've got 3 so far. One for my mother, one for my father, and one for my siblings and me. When I get back to Canada, or I guess if I can find someplace that doesn't scream 'yakuza' here, I've got a leg piece planned to commerate living in Japan. I'm also thinking of doing something on my arm to represent my gender. In the future I want to do something for my children as well so I have to save them space.

I always said that I was going to keep my tattoos small and easily concealable, but I'm slowly realizing that I'd rather not lol. I'm definitely going to end up with a full leg and sleeves.
