Okay, so I me and my friend took my little sister trick or treating tonight, and we had a bit of an amusing moment. Thought some of you might find it funny. We went to this one house, and me and my friend were standing at the base of the driveway, kind of in the shadows. My sister went to the door herself. After the woman living there had answered the door and given her some candy, she looked down the driveway and noticed my friend and I. She looks to my sister, and begins to say "Would you like to give some candy to your... er.. your mom... or, umm moms, too?" (and yes, I'm almost 100% sure she was serious. I get the feeling she first thought maybe we were other kids at first glance, than saw we were clearly not kid sized, and assumed we were married or something xD). My sister, who I suppose really wasn't expected that reaction, looked to her and said "Sure". So, we ended up getting a bit candy after all, not that we were trying.
thats great "do you want candy for your mom, err moms" Im glad that some people are comfortable enough to ask that. I would more expect to ask if you were her mom and her mom's friend.
Haha, that's great. My funny stories usually involve people trying to scare me and getting disappointed when they don't scare me.
thats awesome! itd be hella funny if she had said "thats my sister and her friend. but my sister isnt straight." thats my neigborhood, right there. it used to be a retirement community, so there are hella conservative and hella old people.
Hahaha nice! I wish I could have gone trick-or-treating, but I was traveling to Tennessee.. That's awesome though, I wish more of America were like that.
Aha, yeah. Well, my friend isn't totally straight either, which made it a bit more funny for us. I went and told my mom afterwards, so the past couple times she's decided to ask me how my friend is doing, she's said "So, how's the wife?" xD And yeah, the fact that she was comfortable enough with the idea of the two of us being married was pretty great. Certainly not what I'd expect, but considering I live in a fairly conservative area, it made my day.
