Hey EC'ers, What's your favourite TYPEFACE Today I am feeling a bit Helvetica. But Helvetica is not an option on EC so I make do with Verdana. It is after all a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Matthew Carter. But when I am feeling breezy I quite like to mess with a bit of Comic Sans MS. What do YOU like?
I really like the lighter versions of Helvetica, and think Helvetica Neue Ultra Light might be the prettiest out there. I also hope Comic Sans dies in a fire.
Omg, I can't. No seriously, I can't. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many options. Way too many uses. Way too many styles. And (as it is much the case with me regarding anything) my preferences are too fickle. That said, lately among the ones I keep coming back to there's Lobster (which I'm trying to stay away from since I'm seeing it everywhere now), Exo (specially the light variety), Exo 2 (so predictable), Gotham (if it were up to me, every piece of text everywhere would be composed of Gotham variations), Montserrat (very similar to Gotham because, again, I'm predictable like that), Sansita One (Quickly becoming my new Lobster), Meta Serif (for that oldschool newspaper headline style), Droid Serif (omfg), Johnston (duuuuh). Special Mention: Guakala (I'll never find a use for it, but that doesn't mean it's not charming as fuck).
My emails and schoolwork are in the Georgia font, which I'm using for this post. Otherwise, I just use whatever is the default font.
