As a stereotypical lesbian, I love Tegan & Sara. I'm an even bigger fan of the Belle Brigade. So any other musician (of any genre) that are worthy listening to? I love music & would love to hear something new while supporting the community!

I saw her band open for Better than Ezra in Indianapolis in the Fall and they were really good.

Sam Sparro is openly gay and quite amazing - I think he was the first gay artist I really knew much about. He has great music.

Greyson Chance, Tom Andrews, and Ronan Parke. They haven't come out officially but, it's been speculated/(it's pretty obvious). The entire Smith family has had rumours/speculations on their sexualities: Will Smith (gay?), Williw Smith (bisexual?), Jada Smith (bisexual?) - Jada was in a metal band called, Wicked Wisdom, and is in a new band called, Wicked Evolution. Jaden Smith (gay?)

    Boy George/Culture Club
    Ru Paul
    Justin Vivian Bond
    Joan Jett
    Pete Burns (Dead or Alive)
    Sam Smith
    David Bowie
    La Roux
Judas Priest (Lead singer, Rob Halford, is gay)
    Ricky Martin
    Bjork
    Divine
    Esperanza Spalding

What??? Rob Halford, really? Wow. I used to know quite a few guys in the 80's whose minds would have been totally blown by that. Come to think of it, Freddie Mercury probably blew a few minds, too.

A few more (these are for the guys), along with a song I liked that's on YouTube...

Steve Grand ("All-American Boy"). His album is due out at the end of March.
Ty Herndon ("Lies I Told Myself")
    Matt Alber ("Handsome Man")
    Eric Himan ("Red Hot Tears")
    Ryan Dolan ("Start Again")
Cazwell ("Rice & Beans"). Perhaps the only openly gay guy in hip-hop.

And if we're going back to the '80s, in addition to Boy George there were:

Frankie Goes to Hollywood / Holly Johnson
George Michael (though he was not out until after the cottaging bust)
    Marc Almond
    Bronski Beat / Jimmy Somerville
    Erasure / Andy Bell

And then in the '70s, none other than Elton John came out (though as "bi" at the time).
