    I voted 6 months.

When my best friend in HS rejected me, I was at the point of tears EVERYDAY for six months.

    How about you?

I wouldn't say brought me to tears directly. I've been brought to tears by general lonliness, of which being LGBT could be a factor to a degree. Mostly LGBT issues (ignorance especially) make me frustrated or just plain angry.

I'm not sure how to quantify this. There have been many times in my life where I felt isolated and different for various reasons, and one of those reasons would at times be my confusion over my sexuality, and now of course my understanding of it. There were times I cried over a lost friend, times I cried over confusing feelings toward a different one. Times I cried, realizing things about myself, realizing I'd never be with a girl I was smitten over, and then pushing that all down, only to once again cry in isolation. Now, I cry because I fear rejection from those close to me. All in all, a lot of tears.

Hm...1 day? Although it didn't have much to do with LGBT issues.

Well, Brokeback Mountain made me cry... Does that count?
I voted "under one month" but might as well have said "never." So far, at least. I count myself lucky.

This; I couldn't really give you a definite answer to the poll because it's pretty sporadic(though I haven't in a while really). There are times where I've briefly 'sniffled' about it and there are a few times where I've pretty much cried my eyes out.

I guess it is still ongoing somewhat though because I can see it happening again, so I feel you there somewhat, Storm.

    Sexuality, not even 10 minutes.

Transgenderism, probably, about 3 or 4 days worth of time. I've had moments where I feel really sad/defeated, and others where I feel really angry/powerless. But I handle these amazingly well, in general; but it does build up and, sometimes, a few tears or clenched fists are what I need to alleviate the stress.

I'm not particularly fond of crying myself, but I have no shame in it. I hold no shame towards another, or think less of another, if they do. So long as they're willing to do something about it, even if it's just to stand up and face the oncoming tidal waves.

In terms of society and LGBT issues, eh, mostly I find a sad humor in it. Every now and then, things make me scoff at the sheer idiocy/hatred of something, but I try to take things in stride now, because it works better for me.

Sorry about the confusion in my poll.

This a difficult question to ask because there can be many variables at play.

    1) Maybe there was ONE incident that happened could have brought someone to the point of tears over a long period of time

    2) Maybe there was DIFFERENT incidences and reasons where someone could have been brought to tears for different amount of time

I don't know what to answer the poll because I'm a bit confused by the question. In either case, I have (indirectly I guess) been brought to (sad)tears as a result of being gay. I spent a few months on and off throughout high school very depressed. Some weeks I felt like fucking shit, crying almost every day, not going to school because I was so depressed. Most of the time this had nothing to do directly with being gay, but with mere loneliness that I guess was derived from my sexuality. I think being gay has made me very self conscious and reserved since I grew up hearing people calling me and others "gay" as an insult. Being that reserved and self critical has made it hard for me to get close to people as quickly as, I feel, most others do. Leaving me to often feel lonely. Now in hindsight I'm kind of annoyed for how I treated myself. I know now that I had/have great friends, I seemed to like blowing little things out of proportion.

After some thought, I guess I'll have to say at least a few months (in days) where I've cried at least once each day.
