I was thinking about holidays and it occurred to me that Martin Luther King Day is a national holiday that everyone recognized. Harvey Milk was a very similar figure so I was wondering if Harvey Milk Day (May 22 I think?) will ever get the same attention. To me, it seems like sort of a crazy thing to even consider, but the recognition Martin Luther King day gets now would probably have been an equally crazy thing to think about at some point in time. What do y'all think?
I don't know. Harvey Milk isn't seen as much of an important figure as Martin Luther King. I just don't see Harvey Milk ever being up there with Martin Luther King.
