OK, it's not to the standard of Martin's pompom dance, but it was in public....

This is me murdering two songs (Seasons in the Sun and Summer of '69) in the karaoke competition at the Black Lion (our local gay pub) last night, after four pints of John Smiths.

There were four entrants and two went through to the next round. I wasn't one of them, and from this performance you can see why!

It was recorded on my mobile phone propped on my table which is why there's no editing and it's some distance away. It takes a few moments to get going and the flowers on the judges table block the view a bit.

I think some of the courage came from the four pints! I'm a terrible singer too!

Ohh, you can thank Martin for it being recorded. I texted him from there to say I was going to enter and he said the EC peeps would love to see that.

Still, you acquitted yourself nicely.

I'll usually gamely go along and do karaoke when others do - I do a fun version of "Baby Got Back".

But if they keep pushing me up there, I do Roy Orbison's "Crying". After me attempting to hit the high notes near the end, nobody ever asks me to sing again.

Liquid courage isn't always good for you :P

I remember being in a karaoke bar where we had to select if we were good or bad singers. I just made a cross in between and got the easy version so my friends thought I was a lot better than the other contestants.

Btw. Lexington I was always a fan of your character, Gargoyles ftw!
