I don't hate Christianity or Christians it's a wonderful religion with wonderful people But I'm tired of having to schedule my day around something that I don't want to go to or aren't interested in And I can't really just not do it because I actually work for the church, I run the computer and I don't want to be a dick and just quit I don't feel morally wrong or anything for being an atheist that works for a church but I just don't like my job because it's really exhausting and I don't even get paid or anything Also next week in Sunday school we are ending this unit and then we're moving into a new one where the book talks about how like masturbation and homosexuality are bad OK I don't really know about the masturbation one I haven't had time to look through it again but still
If you're not getting paid, is it a volunteer position? Life is too short to be doing something for hours each week, that you don't need to do and don't like. Perhaps you could start looking for another volunteer/paid position somewhere else that you'd enjoy a little bit more? Don't feel bad, I'm sure the church can find someone to fill your shoes
Hahaha... What your being serious? Anyway, if someone is running an organisation that is teaching children to hate you, then I don't think you want to work for them.
Find someone else to do the job, before you go. I don't hate churches, but I don't agree with the idea of using people to do jobs without giving them anything in return, doesn't have to be money, it could be food or something... Anyways, if you don't want to do it, then don't.
Why can't there be a church that teaches that masturbation is fun? That would be a lot more helpful. It's weird how Christianity seems so down on almost anything sexual. It spreads such harmful beliefs.
if you dont enjoy it quit. give them a heads up first though, notify them that way you dont leave them with a negative impression of who you are as an individual and say this "im sorry but i have found a job else where. something i enjoy doing not that i dont enjoy doing my duty for the lord...even then i feel i have done my part for the church and honestly feel i am no longer needed" smile and than nod at whatever they say dont feel guilty, by them you would have given them a heads up, and apologized for leaving them so abruptly doubt i was able to give any useful advuce at all haha but yea...:lol:
