I was wondering the other day how people found out about emptyclosets.

I was on some facebook group (possibly "the word "gay" is not a synonym for '"stupid"" one, or another I don't really remember) and there was a link to this. Usually I don't click on links, but something interested me, so I clicked...and here I am.

i actually dont remember exactly. i think i was on google, msn or yahoo and typed in closet or in the closet. this site came up and ive been attached ever since! and so glad i did!

I don't even remember. I think I may have found it through another site a few years ago. I only recently joined though.

I may have searched "gay message board" last month because I was beginning to accept or come to terms with what I am. So I figured I should tell people who would care.

Last fall, I had one epiphany right after the other, one of them being the final acceptance that I was gay and there was nothing that would change about that. It took time to finally settle that fact within my own head, but once it was done, I decided to look around for a good LGBT message board to go along with my atheist boards and gaming boards and all the other message boards for the various aspects of my life. I kept finding sites with advice columns and ask-the-editors sections, but EC was the first real LGBT forum I stumbled across. So I joined right up.
