Hey all! I was wondering about names lately, and I thought.. Would you change your name if you could? If you could, to what would you want to change your name? Or would you add a name to the existing one you have?

I don't want to change my names (I have two), but I'm indifferent about adding a name. If I would add one, it's one of Samoan origin likely like Fa'arodo (a last name), or a related "island" origin.

    What about you? :icon_bigg

Perhaps... but I wouldn't know what to change it to.

I would like to change my name! Just because my birth name doesn't represent me and my personality. I'd rather having an unisex/androgynous name.

My middle name is my great-grandfather's first name. Nobody ever guesses it because it's so unknown. I've never really liked it, so I might be willing to change it to Oliver, because I like that name.

I'm content with my first name, even if it is really common.(doesn't hurt that it's pretty unisex, too, which I like) There are other names I like though, so the thought is interesting but I don't know if I'd bother to actually change it.

As for my last name, I would, but only in the sense that I wish I had gotten my dad's last name...so I don't think I'd change it now, but it would've been nice.

^ The reason being that I don't feel my last name flows well with my first name at all.

I only have one first name and I'm okay with that. It's cool.

No, I wouldn't change my name. The good thing about having a last name as a first name is that it feels classy

An ex co-worker was always known to us as John. Then his wife popped in work one day asking if Doug was around.
It did create a bit of confusion at first, but we still called him John.

Can you actually change part of your name? Or do you have to change the whole thing?

If I get married i want to take my husband last name because I don't really like mine unless his last name was worse or he doesn't want me to take it then we'll just keep our last names.

I go by a nickname that's not obvious to my given name, so it may make things easier if I had it changed. Not certain I ever will though.

I have never wanted to change my first name.

The was a period when I was uncomfortable with my middle name when I was very young because it sounds somewhat feminine and some of my peers poked fun at it. Now, it is one of my favorite parts about my full name.

No, I like my name, I identify with it. It's meaningful + it was my grandmother's name.

Love to. I've hated the name Myles for as long as I can remember. I'd change it to Tyler.
