My first year on EC

I can personally say that your postings here are always well thought out, come from the heart, and that I enjoy reading your posts here, Patrick. Congrats one one year, and here's to many more.

 

Well I also never thought I will stick around that long... coming to first year anniversary myself.

I am glad you stick here and made this place more better. Your compassion, wisdom and friendly attidute is something everyone of us probably strive for.

To more happy anniversaries, Patrick. (*hug*)

PS: I also quit smoking around the same time I joined this site... so my first year free of smoke since 1996.

You do have a lot to say, true, and it gives good vibes to all of us, so please never-ever keep it to yourself, keep sharing. People like you give me faith back in humanity... For a while

I'm not really sure I can say anything that hasn't been said.

It is pretty obvious how valuable your contributions are, especially since you are out and have a few years under your belt. Not saying you're old, mind you, just socially learned. You know the good and the bad in life, and don't shy away from the latter, even if you only wish the former on folks. I believe this is what makes you so likable, that you don't just go to comfort somebody, but inform them -- and this is exactly why individuals appreciate your input and efforts. You don't sugar coat, but you don't pour salt into a situation either, which is something more people should learn to do: being balanced, as opposed to leaning too heavily one way (optimism) or the other (pessimism).

You're a good man, and somebody I consider a honorary parental figure... for what it's worth. I'm sure others think fondly of you, and respect your presence. You've earned it, and are definitely deserving of such.

Keep at it, good sir. You're doing just fine.
