I'm in complete shock over a video I saw on Facebook which a little girl I would guess 2 years old was sick on the floor and was punished by being hit by a weapon, kicked hard, stomped on and at one point even walked over by a very big nanny. I'm so upset at the moment because I believe in showing love and companion to a child expecially a poorly one like that. :icon_sad: I'm not going give any links to this because it was so disturbing that I couldn't do that to anyone. Hope we all can learn to spread love wherever we go
Because some people are evil. I don't think it's a remarkable fact, but it's not exactly unremarkable either. Because of the news and its selection bias for the worst of humanity, it's possible for us to think we have no agency to fix any problems that arise. But there are many ways we can defend beauty.
I saw the story, it is difficult to believe a person could be so violently cruel to a helpless child.
The fact that this is a video at all makes us all complicit by watching it. If we do nothing about it. It's not that different than the citizens of Germany that turned a blind eye to what was happening within their own neighborhoods during WWII. Evil exists, because of indifference.
That depends on who you are and what are you best at. You've done something good David, which was to raise awareness. There will be some thick skulls that will tend to say I've seen it worse and leave it at that, as if this were a cruelty competition. Doesn't surprise me,most of the public is not really processing violent images or videos anymore, they've just becomed too used to see them on a daily basis, and their answer is just plain indifference. If you really want to do something, get involved in projects, try to volunteer, and use every chance to raise awareness. Other options are becoming a lawyer or a policeman, so you have a real chance to send that scum to jail.
They say evil is a part of human behavior, but some people need to learn with experience to do evil things.
