I just read a book entitled...
1st Century Radical: The Shadowy Origins of the Man Who Became Known as Jesus Christ
    (here is the synopsis http://www.amazon.co.uk/1st-Century...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1226433413&sr=8-1)
I myself am a confirmed atheist so have no objection with this book. I must admit that it is amazingly well written and seems like this book may stir a few waters.

I would be really interested in everyone else's take on this (myslef being biased, I am open to all arguments)
becasue I think it will stir quite a few people

That actually sounds quite interesting, from a historical point of view. My view of Jesus was that he was the social radical/hippy of his time.
