My best friend is in the army reserves and he is leaving tomorrow for training. A week ago I ordered him a coin, engraved on it was "the task ahead of you is never as the power behind you", and had a soldier kneeling down. On the back it said "be strong in the lord and his mighty power. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil". I saw him today but I was disappointed that the coin didn't come in yet and wanted to give it to him before he left. I left his house and came home. On the kitchen table was my coin I ordered. I grabbed it and drove back to his house. I gave him the coin, he was really happy and liked the coin. We said our good-byes again and I pray for his safe return. It was so awesome how the coin came at the last minute, I just had to share it.
Truth. This is why people respect the military: they do difficult things and accept that violence may be done to them for the sake of the rest of us. What an amazing gift for his going away.
That was very kind of you to get the coin for him. I'm glad you were able to give it to him before he left, and I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
