Default is this true for you...

well it seems to me that gay guys get the worst of the homophobic actions when it comes to being open about themselves in public. i understand girls get hated on too but most people think gay girls are hot. all my guy friends "dont like gays" then turn around and say two girls together is hot. are they just stupid or is there some double standard that i missed.. i for one find boy love very cute. :]

I think that's true too. Gay guys (at least in my experience) seem to be treated worse than gay women. I think it's because of the strong social idea that guys have to be masculine. I think that social standards arent as strong for girls as they are for guys; guys have to be athletic and masculine, but for girls it is acceptable to be feminine or athletic.

Oh it's definitely true. But like has been said, gay girls are hot. It's a societal double standard.

It's because the men who find two women hot vastly outnumber and/or overpower women who find two men hot. Combined with the fixed societal roles for men vs the more fluid ones for women.

That's true, the butch lesbians get grief for being "gross" or something. But there is a double-standard and many straight men are more accepting of gay women just because it's "hot" and seems to serve a purpose to them.

I actually think two guys is pretty sexy too.
But straight couples don't seem to elicit a response from me.
Go figure.

here in the upper peninsula of michigan its the same. two girls making out in a bar is hot to the straight males that are mentally still in high school.
but two guys just scares them because you know that all gay men in the area want them.......

I think most of the grief goes to the gay guys because most of the grief comes from STRAGHT guys. Thinking about all the testosterone in guys it kinda makes sense that guys would do it more because theyre more aggressive. They need to assert themsellves and look macho and all that jazz.

So looking at it from that prosepective it does make some sense. Straight guys find girls attractive so the more the merrier. Guys think that two girls making out is hot because girls making out in general is hot. So they have no problem with lesbians unless, like other people said, the ones who are more butch get grief.

Straight guys dont like GAY guys because well, they dont think guys are attractive. Because of this, seeing two guys making out is...uncomfortable. They dont like guys making out with each other and stuff. It could also be due to fear of their own homosexual tendencies or potential, the fact that it could happen to them maybe?

I dont know. Im gay. I cant speak for the straight, close-minded, idiotic homophobes. But mainly i think straight guys are more prone to giving grief to gay GUYS and not women because its gay guys are of the same gender.

True.

But living in Japan, you'll realize whole "gay" thing is ignored.
No one really talks about it...

And straight jp guys aren't that into girl-on-girl actions...

When I went to that weirdo Christian "school", I saw this all the time. My guy friends who didn't know I was gay would talk about how gay guys are icky or whatever, and sometimes how they're all going to be thrown into a pit of fire when the new white Jesus comes along to bring all right-wing nutters up to the clouds with him.

Mention 2+ chicks in bed, and their hands disappear and they ask to hear more. Weirdos.

And if you want to say, "Oh, they must not be real friends!", that is utter crap. Of course they're friends, but like any human being, there are certain things I could tell them that could cause my relationship with them to disintegrate. They're idiots, but I love them.

It's just guys trying to be macho and fit in, in that way. Sure some might find it hot, but a lot probably aren't particularly turned on by lesbians. It's like an unannounced competition certain types of guys are constantly having, seeing who can one-up all their friends with how masculine and alpha male they sound. Gotta bench the most, get the most ass, have the same conversation about how disgusting fags are a hundred times, point out the really fucking obvious when they see a hot girl and go into detail about what they wanna do to her, etc.

In a perfect world, people wouldn't have to put on this stupid act just to fit in with their friends. You're supposed to be yourself around your friends...

With that said, I think it looks better when two women kiss than a guy and a girl. Of course I'm gay, so two guys is my first choice... I think I just like same-sex relationships in general.

Definitely true, for all the reasons given. Gay guys tend to cop more here (Australia) than gay girls.

I have to say that I've seen a lot of guys take some crap for being gay, or for being suspected of being gay. It's just stupid and I hate it. Why can't people just worry about themselves?

I also find boy love to be one of the cutest things on the planet

there's definetly a double standard.
and it works both ways.

guys will think two guys are disgusting whilst two girls are hot.
girls will think two girls are disgusting whilst two guys are hot.

and i guess it's because they're afraid the homosexuals of their gender are going to come after them.
because we're everywhere.
lol.

This subject came up in our health class once lol - although it was one of the idiots asking for a joke the teacher gave a pretty decent answer. He said that for alot of straight guys their ultimate fantasy is to be with two girls at once and two chicks together kind of represent this to them, but no way are they going to want to be with two guys at once unless they are gay and then all this isn't an issue.
Also majority of straight girls don't want to be with two guys at once so they don't' find gay guys as hot as guys find two girls together.

Hope that makes sense I seem to be rambling a bit.
