Yes I already excited for election 2016. I was wondering who you all think is gonna get the democratic and republican nomination and who will eventually become elected president. Also what do think are the democrats chances of taking back the senate and even the house?

I think hillary Clinton will become the next president. I don't want her to be, but I think she will.

Bush Senior can actually run again, if he wanted to. That's the scary thing...

    Clinton and Bush I think.

From the Outside looking in I would rather a Democrat as president since Republicans have a tendency to stick their noses in other people's business. Although Obama has been weird about our oil... but c'est la vie.

No he cannot but it is scary that his brother Jeb probably will run but I am confident she'll beat him to the bushes.

I don't care what happens in 2016. There are, broadly speaking, two cases:

    1) The Republicans win, which will cause state violence against minorities and women to increase.

    2) The Democrats win, but they behave as "moderates," which means the Republicans win, which will cause state violence against minorities and women to increase.

This will happen because of the composition of the electorate and the considered but deeply mistaken moral views that a substantial minority of Americans hold (that is, a substantial minority of Americans are evil), as well as the continued pussilanimous political posture of the Democratics, who continually capitulate to the forces of evil in the name of defrauding the American people into thinking they are "centrist."

Yeah. Well you wouldn't want to be around my politically obsessed self who check politics every day and strategizes every move and goes crazy and writes on the calender every important political primary, caucus, or whatever. lol

Bush Senior, not Junior. Senior is George H. W. Bush, Junior is George W. Bush.

    Agreed.

I honestly think Clinton would lose if she becomes the Democrat's candidate. She has way too many scandals going for her, and there's a ton of people against her.

If Bush is her opponent on the ballot, then we are definitely screwed.

Yeah that's true Clinton has a lot of scandals but so do all the republicans have scandals and issues that they will need to face. Every politician has so called scandals and I don't think it hurt her chances at all. I think a lot people would stay home if Bush and Clinton were both on the ballott cause they feel that is too much a part of the past. Anyway even though its unlikely i hope Cruz wins the republican nomination because that is Hilary's best bet to win the election.

I plan on voting 3rd party unless Rand can apologize for his previous ignorance. I like him a lot other than his stance on LGBT issues. It would be great if a moderate Dem. could run too like a Brian Schweitzer or Joe Manchin, but the establishment would not allow that to happen. So, I will say that I am probable to vote libertarian again, someone like Gary Johnson.

As of now, I do think that if Hillary runs, the election is hers to lose. As for who will win the nomination, the far left wackos who are screaming about how horrible Hillary Clinton is need to go crawl back under their hole. Clinton is the candidate who's blowing out every single GOP candidate, and at this point, winning is all that matters. If we lose the presidency, then anything remotely like sanity that's left goes straight to hell.

Democrats might win back the Senate in 2016 by defeating Blue State Republicans like Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Kelly Ayotte, Mark Kirk, Ron Johnson, and picking off Tea Party loons.

The House could quite potentially never again be controlled by Democrats. Republicans won control of so many state legislatures, which control the redistricting process. All of those districts in the Legislatures have been gerrymandered so Democrats can't win, so even when 2020 rolls around, we'll have another 10 years of unbreakable Republican control. And then another decade, and another, and another.

The best way to win back the House is actually to lose the Presidency in 2016. The reason being is because the President's party, with two exceptions in modern history, always loses in the midterms. If Republicans win in 2016, then we'll have a right-wing whackcase as President, and if we can get the voters angry enough in 2018, we might have enough momentum to either take back the House, or take back state legislatures in order to redraw the districts in our favor.

The only thing that was cool about Brian Schweitzer was the veto brand. Literally the only thing. I say that as a person who knows his youngest son.

    Seconded. Ugh. :rolle:

Knowing how this country works, I won't be surprised if that's how it is, since the "big names" usually make it to the final. And I can't see Hilary winning, so that means Jeb Bush is probably my guess for next president -_-
