Once when I was about 3 when someone ran a red light and hit us. Someone pulled out of a junction and went into the side of me back in September, it took 2 months to get sorted as the parts had to be ordered from bloody Japan

I've been in one--with my dad and my sister, and our car got side-swiped on a busy road. It only caused a dent, but it was pretty scary nonetheless -_-

Statistically you will be in a crash once every 14.7 years, you can only control yourself on the roads.

Eight, I think. I was driving in seven of those. One very minor one was my fault, and I had the damage. The worst two weren't my fault at all -- cars that were out of control ended up in my path and I couldn't avoid hitting them. In three, I could have done something different that might have helped reduce the outcome of what the other person did wrong. Three involved pickup trucks -- mine and one of the others (twice, there were three vehicles, counting mine).

I lived in a big city and most happened on multi-lane roads with a lot of traffic and impatient drivers.

Just one. It was pretty bad. No one was hurt, thankfully, but my car got really messed up. Took months to fix. Gotta love people who drive without a license and run stop signs...

Fortunately, I am lucky enough to have never been involved in an accident. Couple of close calls, but no accidents as of yet. Have also witnessed a couple of accidents.

    1. It was when I was like 2 or 3 (maybe 4??). I don't have much memory of it.

Only one, and luckily it was pretty small. Dude ran a stop sign and took the back fender off my car, and destroyed a lot of the metal underneath. It was several hours before the auto shop would be open and I had to get to work, so like a good little lesbian I just Gorilla taped it back together until I could get to the mechanic. $7,000 worth of damage. Then the guy had the balls to claim that I was at fault.

I was a passenger in one and a driver in the other, and that doesn't count the time I backed into a parked car when I was 18.

The one I was a passenger in, we were driving down the road, minding our own business, and this idiot just pulled out of a parking lot thinking he could go through us or something.

The one when I was driving I got rear-ended by some shithead who had dropped something on the floor of his car and was leaned over searching for it and didn't notice that I'd stopped to make a left turn. Thankfully that was a rental car.

I was a passenger in a crash once. A huge articulated lorry tried to join our lane at the same time and scraped along the car on my passenger side and became attached at the wheel arch before ripping most of the rear side panel off as it moved away.

I have never been so scared in my life as seeing that massive lorry come right at my window.

One that I remember... but I feel like there could be another time. Some sort of repressed memory. Hm.

But the one that I remember getting in... I was 16 years old. 11th grade. I was driving to school that morning after just getting in an argument with my boyfriend. I was texting back and forth with him while driving and I rear ended the car in front of me. I am suck a freaking nerd that I DON'T STOP, BUT INSTEAD FLEE THE SCENE because I'm late for school. The hood of my 2001 Toyota Camry was smashed in close to my windshield, but do I stop? Hell no I don't. I drive this wrecked car all the way to school and nonchalantly walk into the building like I didn't just get out of a car with smoke emerging from the hood. No biggie.

    Oh God Why.
