It happens to me that sometimes people define my personality in a very different way than I do...
But after seventeen years I can say I'm adventurous , introverted , quiet , steady and quite sarcastic. How would you define yourself ?:icon_bigg

Earlier today, A girl I quite like described me as awkward. Yet She's also recognised that I'm very Sexually confident. A few mutual friends have also similarly defined me.

Although it seems like a strange combination, I would have to agree it's quite accurate. Perhaps a result of mixing nature and nurture. A Natural Extrovert with learnt introverted behaviour. Although I don't think it's a bad thing, I think I might have been a complete a-hole otherwise...

I think I'm getting better at this sort of question, though it still stings a little

Well... I'd say at this point one of my main traits is that of a thinker. I like the feeling of knowing things which has earned me a reputation as the erudite one in my uni flat; I'm good at researching and essay-writing; I don't like to commit to a side unless I see no ambiguity, and I try and keep a leash on my emotions. The downside of this is that I'm a pretty theoretical type, but I think it gives me positive attributes too. Well, it would if I wasn't too lazy most of the time to hone those :icon_wink

Other than that I'm definitely not extroverted but I can be very friendly and sociable with the small circles of friends I make. According to whom I'm an eccentric and quirky guy if I'm excited enough. I'd say I'm still very shy, indecisive and... unfulfilled, really, but I've started working on that. Aaaaaand I'm gonna stop there, since otherwise this could get quite long.

'Idiosyncratic' would probably be the best way, to describe me. 'Eccentric' is a possibility, but I'm a little harder to read. Not always, but more than often.

At my worst, I come off as a spectating scientist. Watching, and willing to incite a response, to observe and take notes. Sometimes, I have a tendency to let things go further than they should, simply because my curiosity is morbidly vast. I enjoy pushing limits, just to see what is newly within reach and sight.

At my best, I come off as a refreshing spectacle. Insightful, and willing to generate laughter and positive vibes, to inspire others to embrace their awesome. Sometimes, I have a tendency to become a little piercing with the encouragement, but I know how difficult it can be to escape from our own inner sanctum.

'Creative' and 'witty', have slipped off the tongues of several, 'intelligent' and 'strong', have crept from the lips of many. But if you asked me, am I deserving of these traits? My ego says yes, but humility says some day. I know my worth, but rarely cement my standard, if that makes any sense.

    'Idiosyncratic' shall suffice.

My brother is into that occult mysticism of Jungian archetypes and constantly refers to me as an "ENTP." I do not understand any of it, he has a whole shelf in his house of books about the stuff.

As for how I'd describe me? I'm an abrasive idea man who tries desperately to keep his eyes on the prize and I'm on the professional side of things, courteous yet quick to anger but inside I'm a flamboyant poof who just wants to like, get held by some big bear dude with strong, wide arms and curl up on his chest and just live there forever.

To give a long list of adjectives:

creative, quiet, shy, methodical, careful, thoughtful, curious, sensitive, strange, truthful, loyal, honest, timid, perfectionistic, pensive, smart, consistent

Usually, the first thing people seem to notice about me is how quiet I am. I just sit there listening to them speak and give simple responses most of the time. Then they notice my obsessive-compulsive habits, like perhaps the way I carefully eat my food or stack things so that they are perfectly lined up. Then they notice how spacey I am, tending to stare in the distance when having a conversation instead of looking at the person, as if I've forgotten I'm talking to them. People who've gotten to know me better will describe me as 'different' or 'shy', and many note my disconnection with the real world and tendency to drift off. (You see why my location says 'in my imagination'.)

As lost as a blind man in the Sahara! OK maybe not as bad as that now, but I'm just not sure if women play a small enough role in what I'm attracted to, to call myself gay.

Nerdy, unmotivated, interested in music, socially awkward and easily bored.

Eccentric, mysterious, quiet (but not shy), strong, open-minded, non-conformist, creative

But of course that's only the tip of the iceberg. A human being can not be described in only a few words.

Quiet, kind, strange. I think that probably rounds it out fairly well.

Quiet, awkward, nerdy, confused, loving, decent, caring.

When I play sports though, I suddenly turn into this maniac who shouts and screams encouragement constantly and suddenly becomes more confident for no apparent reason so a mixed bag really :/

I'm a Sexy Swashbuckler, who makes naysayers walk the plank. I am a great leader, but am a bit arrogant at times. And I'm not quite as smart as I(not purposely) make people believe.
