Hey all, here is weird question but has anyone else just woken up one day and not found your usual preferred sex attractive while finding the other sex attractive instead? Or am I just a freak?

Maybe you're bi? Obviously we might need more than that but... maybe it could be a consideration.

Like my little "orientation" thing says its more complex than that. Its really weird when it happens to. It doesn't happen often though. Has happened recently either.

I'd say that sounds like a fluid sexuality! Uncommon, perhaps, but not anything bad or wrong!

I wake up straight every day as I tend not to curl up when I sleep.

If there's a woman in my bed, no.
If there's a man in my bed, yes.
If there's both in my bed, who cares? I'm winning!

    LOL.

Well, personally I've had days where for some reason or another I've felt completely straight (found my mind wandering towards women, or even feeling kind of grossed out when thinking of guys). That being said it usually fades by the end of the day, but sometimes it's happened for more than one day in a row.

For reference, I /think/ right now I identify as bi.

It reminds me of the rugby player "Chris Birch" that apparently woke up gay. Who knows if it's the truth.

In your case, I think it's more likely that personal awareness increased and/or you're actually bisexual.

Never happened to me. I guess you might have a fluid sexuality, my friend.

Seems like a stroke that affects sexual orientation could do it, or even rarer, medications during sleep, and the odds of that affecting sexual orientation is next to 0 meaning it will be unheard of if it actually happened. Maybe a seizure, but again odds are next to 0.

I've been waking up straight since 3 weeks ago because of the damned pain.

    Yes, it's possible...

Some people's sexuality is more fluid then others. Just continue to feel what you feel and don't worry too much about labels. If you want a label, just use whichever one feels right to you. Identifying as bisexual might be good because it would make it so people aren't saying you're going through "phases" (although phases are not necessarily bad things!) Or you could just identify as sexually fluid. There are also plenty of people who identify as gay or straight who occasionally are attracted to the sex they aren't normally, but still feel they are gay or straight. Really it should be whatever you feel comfortable with. And there's no reason you HAVE to label it.
