    I mean, how dare you. How dare you liberate sex from being merely a biological function for the survival of the species, into being solely about intimacy, pleasure, love and joy. How dare you get to have amazing sexual pleasure without the risk of adding to the world's population, and possibly getting yourself mired in crushing debt, mortgage, complete with white picket fence, stress and headache pills. How dare you forge your own destiny, your own life, when our musty, rotting old scrolls say that the life you live is wrong. Look, it says so right here...you dare to listen to your own conscience and heart over our rotten old scrolls written by desert nomads living in a distant country and alien culture thousands of years ago? Such impudence! How dare you have the courage to be true to yourself, to be different to the mainstream of society, who are mostly attracted to the opposite sex. Tsk tsk!

    Lol...I suspect no-one thus far can see that I was being sardonic, ironic...the entire things is meant in jest...never mind.

    All this is 'about', is that I'm beginning to really accept that I like guys, and I was just having a playful rant about the bullshit that has been dumped on lgbt folks for thousands of years. Just a playful, sardonic sort of rant. If no-one gets it, fine. I meant well. Seems like irony does not translate well into Internet Forums. :shrug:

    Next time I will put a little footnote at the bottom saying, "this is meant sardonically".

    So I thought as well. Well stuff it. No more posts like that...folks need things like this spellled out a bit more, I think. We live and learn. Anyway, thank you for noticing. I also note that none of the members who have put down my post actually know me...know that I'm totally on the side of LGBT folks. What else could it be but sarcastic? Jeez...

    To be totally blunt: I thought this was going to be one of those 'screw intimacy and love; go have sex in the sleaziest context and manner possible and how dare you feel guilty over it' kind of posts that seem to be so rampant on Tumblr, et al.

    One of the things I immediately noticed about the responses to this thread is that the most conservative people didn't care and were vocal in expressing it, and the people who are more permissive applauded it.

    I just thought that was interesting.
