    This thread is not a thread debating whether love really does conquer all or not but just a opinion survey.EVERYONE'S OPINION will be slightly different, so please respectful EVERYONE ELSE OPINION. Please don't debate in this thread.


    So my question is

    "At it's height, how much did you BELIEVE that " love conquers all"?



    One of Hollywood's most common and romantic themes is.......

    If you truly love someone enough,

    and willing to do anything and everything to be with the one you love;

    Somehow, someway, love will conquer all .


    I voted " Very much believed".


    Personally, I bought the theme of "love conquers all" with all my heart and all my soul and everything in between.

    I'm probably biased but, with this seemingly talking mostly about 'romance'(with a little general love), I don't agree with it at all personally. It's just a super cliché thing to say, if you ask me. Too much false hope involved.

    Although it can result in (a lot of) good, I don't feel it 'conquers all'; it tends to cause more problems than anything, from what I've personally seen. Maybe in rare cases it could, but such things are spread a bit too thinly...

    If love only could conquer all the world would be better than we could ever imagine. Sadly there are still people on this earth who long to control how others live their lives and rather spread hate and divisive rhetoric and that is what need to banished from this world. If love could only conquer all it would be a better place to live I think.

    Well, I'm sure there was a time when I - at least - mostly believed it.
    However, I completely lost that belief a couple of years ago. Sure, it's finding its way back with time, but it's in a very bad shape and will never fully recover.

    I think that... While love is a very driving emotion, there are perhaps ones that are more so :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    It can.Hatred can create a simple concept of the world where everything is either black or white.So being hated probably won't do you good but hating can make things easier and keep you going.

    I somehow believe it. Ive heard people who are really in love with each other but has to separate just because people dont like them to be together or big age difference or any other taboos when it comes to love. But I have also seen couples who managed to survive those discrimination and solely anchored themselves from love.

    It doesn't conquer all, but it does conquer a lot. On the small scale at least. On the large one, money conquers a bit more. :/
