About as much as I feel guilty for having kids and poor people dying in order for me to live a comfy occidental life. So, not that much.

If it's an insect that, for instance, is important for pollination, then yes. Not because I feel bad for the insect, but for the fact that it's an important part of the ecosystem.

Mainly, if it isn't swift. Even despite the environmental dangers, I find bug sprays to be extremely cruel.

    Whelp. There it is.

Yup, I feel guilty on the rare occasion I have to kill an insect - for instance, a wasp around my pets. Usually I go for the whole "glass-and-paper" method of insect removal. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hey, have you guys ever accidentally stood on a snail? That is just the WORST.

Nope. I catch spiders and put them outside. I've even designated a special 'spider catcher' box, lol. I use a newspaper to swat flies.

Yes, I cannot kill insects. They're innocent. I only killed one when I was six and I'm still guilty.

Kinda yeah. I never go out of my way to kill an insect like many people do. And I direct and carry bugs out of the house instead of killing them when possible.

But when I'm outside getting eaten by insects... I have no choice but to just swat them.

I don't kill insects because I have no reason to. I'm not afraid of them and I find it very cruel to kill them.

Spiders on the other hand... I find them fascinating but they scare me shitless so I usually smash them with a shoe. And most of all: jumping spiders - I don't even dare approach them.

I would like to add that I don't kill insects unless it's necessary. I will carry the spider (might not be insects, but whatever) outside, turn the bug back on it's feet (?) and put the ladybug into safety (I sometimes find ladybugs in the window by my shower), otherwise I would feel guilty.
However, if there's a mosquito on my arm, then I will kill that bloody bastard (no pun intended) because they are pure evil.

I won't kill for the sake of it. If they're biting me, dying, or an invasive specie, then sure. Die.
I do get a little annoyed when I see kids being annoying to bugs, though. Like, those kids that pull legs off flies and then put them in a pile, or ones who find a slug and leave it on the pavement on a sunny day and prod it and roll it around so it dries out.

I only feel guilty if I kill Lady Bugs or Centipedes. I had a Lady Bug that lived in my room as a teenager for 6 months. I was sad when I accidentally killed it one day. As for centipedes, they kill and eat all the other bugs that I don't like. They're my "bouncer"

Yeah I do. I can't kill insects, most of them are so wonderful and innocent. If they happen to enter the house I just release them.

Nope. Kill them all if they enter my home. They sit around on MY walls acting like they pay rent. Git off ma' propert-ah!

In all seriousness I don't go out of my way to kill insects and I feel bad when I have to but I'm just too scared when I try and catch them because they move so quickly.

I tend to flick ants and swat away flies that get close to me. I don't really feel guilty either.

However, I once stomped on a dragonfly as a kid and I still feel guilty whenever I remember that dragonfly. I don't know why. Is the fact that it's just a bit bigger than flies and ants the reason I feel guilty? Or is it more the fact that I went out of my way to stomp it, just because I could? Probably a combination of the two. Either way, it felt really cruel and looking back on it I still feel terrible for some reason even if there's no logical reason for me to have it gnaw at my conscience.
