So I ate shrimp about an hour ago and am definitely suffering an allergic reaction. Its a shame because I really liked that shrimp. Does anyone else have an annoying allergy?

Yes, to jackfruit, but it's rather mild. My symptoms include difficulty with swallowing and an itching sensation in my throat that provokes a desire to cough.

It's not necessarily a food allergy, but it is annoying, I'm allergic to alcohol. As in I cannot drink any alcohol beverages. Which made my 21st birthday suck!

Fish and seafood. It is so annoying because a lot of fish is healthy and good for you and there are some amazing seafood dishes around and I can't have any of them.

Milk will cause a skin reaction (read: acne on face/body). But, no intestinal distress.

Depending on the season, weird, I know, cutting open an orange or grapefruit can cause my hands to break out and get very red and itchy. Same with lobster and shrimp juices.

But, no anaphalactically severe food allergies,

I have Celiac's disease (on top of being a diabetic, because I hit the genetic lottery, lol), and dear god is it difficult. Since there's no outward, visible reaction, it's hard to get accommodations at restaurants. Also my bread is $6 for a loaf that's 2/3 the size of the $1.50 loaf.

I have a friend whose allergic to pineapple. Getting pizza with her is an adventure.

Pollen. And for people in America it's finally becoming beautiful, blooming spring. Meanwhile, I'm stuck inside sneezing my head off with a stuffy nose and watery eyes! I love spring break.

I have a severe allergy to nuts and latex, they can be fatal if I don't use an epipen. I have really mild allergies to some fruits, and soy, they make my mouth itch but I just eat them anyways because they're good. And I get seasonal allergies.

Not any that I know of. Some things can bug my stomach but that wouldn't really be an allergy...

I am allergic to sulfa a type of medication. I used it when I was 2 bc I had a bad rash and after I took it the rash became worse. Then I also used this face wash which made my face turn beat red rift around my nose so I took 2 allergy pills and 2 melatonin's and felt great.

Black pepper. My eczema explodes when I eat it. The annoying part about this is how I can’t trust anything with the words spices, seasonings, or natural flavoring in the ingredients :frowning2:

Also, not an allergy, but wheat (not gluten!) hurts my gut. The worst part about this is how many people think I’m following a fad, even though I’ve been on a restricted diet for many years. Oh well, at least packaged food options have opened up!

Have you had a reaction to shrimp before? I’ve heard seafood allergies can be nasty, so I hope you’re ok and recover quickly.

I do feel sorry for you. I love gummy bears so much and would miss them dearly if that happened to me (*hug*)

When I drink wine (occasionally other alcohol too but it happens most often with wine) my face will turn red for a bit. It's not that I have no tolerance, it's just an allergic thing. Goes away after a bit but it's annoying af

All nuts and seafood, brings on the anaphylactic shock. Finding guys to kiss at college is gonna be a PITA. "Oh hello (partner's name)! [Partner leans in for kiss] Wait. Have you eaten seafood or nuts today?" (partner nods) ....as if being gay didn't already limit the dating pool....

Also a tiny sensitivity to Allegra D-it makes me incredibly irritable.
