Sorry if this isn't an acceptable topic for EC, but I definitely think it's relevant. I go to a college called Simon's Rock-- I came here after 10th grade. I didn't have to graduate early, didn't have to take special entrance exams, I never took the SATs, and I basically skipped 11th and 12th grade and now I'm a freshman in college. From my school's website: So in two years, when all my friends will have their high school diploma, I'll have my A.A. degree! And Simon's Rock is one of the Top 10 most LGBT-friendly campuses in the US!!! We're 2 hours from Boston, 2 hours from NYC, and 1.5 hours from Northampton, which is sorta a gay capital of sorts. I'm not trying to recruit, but if anyone really is trying to drop out of high school just to get away from where they're living now, don't! This is really a great school, I can vouch for this place! https://www.simons-rock.edu/ <3
I'm a senior in college now. It makes me hate humanity. I just finished a 3,000 word paper today and I have a huge coding assignment due in a couple of days which I've barely started, and I'm sorely in need of sleep.
McGill University. Seriously. (I AM recruiting. :lol Wanna hear one of our chants that we were taught during frosh? WARNING: SWEAR WORDS. McGill once. McGill twice. Holy fucking Jesus Christ. Wham bam goddamn son of a bitch shit. Three cheers for McGill: Fuck fuck fuck! Three cheers for fucking: McGill McGill McGill! And another: I'd rather be a Redman than a fucking Bumblebee, I'd rather be a genius than flip burgers as McDee's, I wouldn't wipe my ass with a Concordia degree So fuck you bumblebees!
I'm graduating early anyways, but I did hear about that college. Hopefully the college I want to get into is really accepting too.
I would love to go back and get a masters degree. Since I work full time it would take me at least 4 years, maybe 5 and I just can't do that again. I had to work my way through my bachelors and it damn near killed me.
Sweet. I'm set up at Vineyard for the next few years. Or at least until I get all of my credits, which might not take that long. I'm looking forward to being in a traditional educational environment for basically the first time ever.
