Do you have relatives from other countries?

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by anthonythegamer, Apr 16, 2015.

  1. Do any of you guys have relatives, distant or close, from other countries?

Since my relatives came from China and Vietnam, they tend to be spread out around the world. Most of my abroad relatives live in Australia. Others live in Hong Kong (yes, I consider HK and CHina to be separate nations), Taiwan, Canada, France, and Britain.

Almost all of my relatives are foreign. Most live in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, England and Germany. There are plenty of others, but they're not exactly close and most I probably won't ever bother meeting.

My cousin and her husband emigrated to Australia a good couple of years back. They now have Australian citizenship, and I don't think they'd ever return to South Africa. Her husband's parents also live there.

One in Vietnam and a couple in the US. But most are in France. Soon, I'll be the one who's in another country.

A grandfather from Jamaica. I have relatives who live in Canada and South Africa but they were originally from England and moved there quite a few decades ago. They have had children since though so I have cousins I've never even met before.

Yes, my father, aunts, uncles, and grandparents on that side all came to the US from Portugal when my father was a little kid. We still have more distant relatives living there, some of whom I was able to meet when I visited years ago. I think I also have some distant relations in Brazil and Italy.

Hmm I don't think so. It seems like I've been living in my small south-eastern european country for thousands of years 0_0, it's like I was here even before Spartacus :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

My cousin was planning to immigrate to Germany if that counts...the closest I've come to...

I dont have any. I have a pure Filipino family. But one of my aunts migrated to Australia and one of my uncles moved to Canada, both for work.

My dad's older sister married an Italian, and all of there 3 children have dual citizenship. My mum's older sister married a Brit. And my dad's wife was born in the Netherlands, he also has a cousin that lives there. My godfather was born in Ghana if that counts lol. I think my one aunt was born in Canada but her parents immigrated from the Ukraine.

    And of course there's me.

I have an entire family in Nigeria as I speak, I was born in Hackney, so I still have family there. My mother is mixed raced, and her father is from Sierra Leone.

Almost all of them are. Most of my relatives are from Spain, France, and Romania. I pretty much have no relatives to visit here in the U.S.

I'm a first generation American on my father's side. He's from Edinburgh, Scotland, but most the family is from Stirling. That's where the deepest roots are.

On my maternal side there are a few Canadians, but the relationship is rather distant.

I have a few relatives in the USA and a French great-great-grandad (died long before I was born of course) but that's it.
