Yes. I never considered Val Kilmer to be that hot. Mickey Rourke was somewhat better. Commenting on other photos - Steven Tyler - big question mark ... always - if Steven Tyler had his thumb out for a ride and people drove by, they might be frightened. John Travolta - I never understood what people saw in him I think I've seen this: Melanie Griffith and Meg Ryan are also on that slide show. Unless you have a lot of money, it's hard to fight gravity and the hands of time! And that might not even be enough.

I didn't recognise Val Kilmer at all - is it really the same guy?! It's easy to forget that we are all changing every day.
Well, you have to also take into account that a lot of these people had had their time in the spotlight and now are retired from the biz, so why should they care? Also, you never know how someone will age. They may age gracefully, and barely change, as Doris Day has done....or they may be gorgeous today and "OMG WTF happened to them" tomorrow. Nobody knows what Mother Nature has in store for them. And actually, Val Kilmer isn't that bad now. He just got fat. And I think he deserves it, seeing as he has "done his time" in the industry.
I think Mickey Rourke is looking MUCH better of late, it looks like he has finally had some luck with the surgery (his initial surgery was to correct facial injuries but didn't go to plan). Compare then and now. He looks healthier now, you can obviously still tell he has had surgery, but he looks a lot more like an aged version of his younger self, and he is 63 after all. And as he was so handsome as a young man I think he gets away with it now, he just looks charactered!
He was sort of a poster child on the male side of stardorm for plastic surgery gone awry. On the female side of stardom, it could be Donatella Versace, the late Gianni Versace's sister ... or maybe the photos they take of her are deliberately not flattering. It's good when another surgery sort of fixes what wasn't right with the first one, which might be the case with Mickey Rourke. For a lot of celebs and a lot of everyday folks who have opted for plastic surgery, it's sort of a coin toss as to whether a follow up surgery will make the initial suboptimal result better or worse.
