I wanna try and meet some girls at pride but I want to dress in a way that makes it kind of obvious that I'm a lesbian (you know give off a 'vibe') but without looking completely butch or stereotypical. Any suggestions?? I was thinking of wearing a shirt and some braces and not be too in people's faces but I'm not sure hahaha
Any clothes that you feel comfortable in (and like yourself) - just add some rainbows and you'll be fine! If you have anything rainbow colored, or a shirt with pictures of rainbows or so. There's still time to order stuff online or buy something, right? I will wear my rainbow flag as a cape like I did last year
Personally, I just dress in my regular clothes and wear a rainbow bracelet or badge. Wear whatever feels natural.
I always do this at pride! It's the best I agree that rainbow stuff should be a priority at pride over any specific "look". You can get all kinds of stuff - flags, belts, t-shirts, gloves, bracelets, etc.
Well Pride is in the summer, so you'll want to wear something that'll keep you cool. You could wear a shirt or hat that says something like "Team Lesbian" to make it known that you are in fact a lesbian and not a straight ally. While wearing a shirt like that any other day might feel strange to you, it's totally normal and common at Pride. You could wear rainbow beads around your neck and rainbow bracelets to show your pride, or you could do like I did last year and wear a pride flag as a cape like a gay superhero. Rainbow socks, shoes, or shoelaces are also an awesome way to show some pride. If being decked out in rainbows isn't a good enough reason to go to Pride, then I don't know what is lol. Rainbow suspenders are pretty common, too. If you like makeup, there are tons of awesome rainbow looks to inspire you on Pinterest (or just a Google search, really). I think this year I'm going to cop some rainbow shorts...
Personally, when I've gone I just dressed in regular clothes..No rainbows or anything. (still have to get to/from pride & the city, not to mention just out of the house...)
Perhaps a vest. I've met several lesbians/bisexual females whilst wearing one. But whatever makes you happy! And these other guys in this forum have good ideas, too. But have fun at pride! Wish I could come...
