Favorite Genre or Sub Genre of music?

    So what's you favorite genre/subgenre of music? Favorite bands?
    Personally I like random stuff from every genre, (From Metal and Hardcore to Pop and some classical) but no particular entire genre except post hardcore. Stuff like Dnace Gavin Dance, Emarosa, Tides Of Man, Circa Survive, Hands Like Houses.

    Right now for me it's definitely classic, romantic to be exact:slight_smile: Composers like Chopin and Liszt are what I listen to the most at the moment. Last year I was more into dubstep/club/electro stuff but classic will always be my favoute genre. I don't like modern classical stuff though....that shit is just crazy.

    I like any type of Metal, more specifically Death Metal...My favorite band is Cannibal Corpse, also At the Gates and Macabre...I also like Disco, more specifically by Patrick Cowley...

    I love almost all subgenres of rock. As a rule of thumb, I hate all pop music, but Tegan and Sara identify as a pop band, and I love their music

    Loving alternative rock or pop and Indie-rock. Occasionally get into atmospheric dance/house music. I generally enjoy anything that has some level of lyrical complexity or instrumental expertise.

    I'm a real stickler for categorizing music with genres/subgenres/tags, and because of that, I have very specific tastes, although they're widening faster than ever. The main six are here, in no particular order:

    Black metal / depressive black metal
    Bands: Emperor, Bethlehem, Abigor, Immortal

    Visual kei / J-rock / Japanese power metal

    EBM? EDM? Synthpop?? I honestly don't know what to call it
    Bands: And One, Depeche Mode, Marsheaux

    Neue Deutsche Härte (moreso a couple years ago
    Bands: Rammstein, Schweisser, Eisbrecher

    Now keep in mind, while I listen to both black metal and thrash metal, I don't particularly like death metal much. Evidently, I don't stray from my genres a whole lot, although they're somewhat diverse anyways (at least in portrayed emotions :lol:slight_smile:

    That's really it. I do get my daily dose of pop music from my teenage sister, but I don't actively search for other music outside of "country."

    I listen to a wide range and don't have favourite genres but rather favourite artists, I love synthpop and I do actually have a love of Spacesynht(this is the sub genre of Disco or to be exact Italo Disco). I pretty much listen to a massive variety of music and nothing can stop me. I do like some Queercore music as well.

    I also am not afraid to admit that I like some of the cheesy pop groups like Aqua(yes I like this group), but only because of the lyrical content as opposed to the music. I also do listen to Aussie hip hop as well.

    I have a lot of favorite bands and it can depend but usually I like any genre of rock, some metal like Asking Alexandria, alternative, and like idk what to classify Hollywood undead. Then there's stuff like Bring me the horizon, etc. Punk rock maybe? punk rap? I also like rap music, more like lil wayne... etc depeneds. Whatever sounds good to my ears. I like Korn... 3 days grace.... You me at six. Any MANY more just depends

    I really like post-hardcore music which sounds really specific and kinda pretentious, but it's a great genre. It includes bands like My Chemical Romance, Sleeping with Sirens, and Pierce the Veil
