So I am trying to think of a name I can identify with when I am feeling feminine/female and nothing is coming to mind.

Any ideas? Throw it out there

Try not to give more than two or three names each though

It's a nice name that my fiancée identified, but it doesn't quite click for me.

Cadence, since you love music and Eliza since you describe yourself as a historian. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. Keep going. It doesn't matter if you repeat someone else's suggestion. They can be names from anywhere.

Those names sound ultra-feminine and you could never give them to a guy.

Ah there are some nice names here. Thanks. More though.

It would be nice to have more non Anglophone names. Anywhere in the world.

I have a lot of French relatives, so I know some Francophone feminine names. Names are much more gendered in languages that have gender (which English doesn't).

    Clémence
    Coralie
    Léonie
    Adèle
    Juliette
    Chloé
    Céline

Jeez, a lot of them are quite old :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Some other I know that are French would be :

    Éléonore,
    Virginie,
    Blanche,
    Alice,
    Dorothée,
    Émilie,
    Érika
    Isabelle,
    Joëlle
    Kim
    Stéphanie

I admit some of them are old, too. But a lot of people I know wear those names :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Haha I honestly got that list by thinking of the names of my French cousins and friends, so those are all names of people under 20 lol. They're from Provence; maybe older names are popular there lol.

Interesting that a lot of French names are simply English names with an accented <e> :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Knowing that a lot of names come from Latin and Greek, it's not really surprising :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
