If you've had stitches that counts as surgery.

You need to edit the poll, you got two options for broken bones and having surgery

    Oh yeah.

I've had a few teeth drilled and filled, and some pulled. The first time is the worst, but after that it becomes almost comfortingly routine.

Awake for all of them. Cheaper and, I don't know about you... the idea of being asleep with metal going into my mouth is not keen to me, LOL.

I was shot with a BB in the left eye, which has resulted in fucked up coloration in it. Going to sleep wasn't an option, and it was risk losing the ability to see verses lose of some vision -- I took the latter.

Now I have a hard time seeing the color white. Any surrounding colors tend to be pulled into a blend, covering it. But this makes looking at certain things a little more entertaining, as my right eye, while weak is otherwise fine with glasses.

Broken bones-wise, I've broken: collar bone, fingers, toes, and hand. Fractures, that's hard to say, but more than I probably know, since I like to 'tough out' these. Doctors aren't cheap, and I'm not paying a fortune for a handshake and sling. I can make that myself, but if it gets too bad, I'm not stupid enough to keep toughing it out. Besides, now, I have health care (thank you, Obama!).

It isn't fun, but surgey isn't as bad the more you do it. Breaking bones, I could do without that, LOL.

Nope. Never broken a bone, never had stitches, never had surgery. I've been to the hospital for a couple things that weren't just checkups or tests, but they weren't surgical.

I've broken a bone in my foot from kicking a brick wall in a temper. Wont so that again in a hurry. 18 months it took to be fully healed. Had surgery on my hand after a cut it so badly it severed the tendon to my little finger, also destroyed the nerve to it so I have no feeling in it. I've had knee surgery due to cartilage damage from a biking accident.

Does getting your wisdom teeth out count as surgery? I think so since I was put to sleep for it. But I have never had a broken bone.

I voted no before reading your post. I had stitches once so I guess I've had surgery

Broke two bones. A wrist from falling off a swingset and a foot from falling down the stairs.

The worst I've had is getting a cocktail stick deep into my foot, it was many years ago.

If we're counting stitches as surgery, then I've had two surgeries. I busted my lip open when I was 4 and had my gallbladder removed when I was 13. But, I've never broken a bone.

The only surgeries I've had were to get my tonsils removed as a kid and my wisdom teeth maybe four or so years ago. I did break a rib earlier this year, but nothing that was traumatic and required an ER trip.
