Lately, I hear the word "bro" a lot. I think it's like the word "dude," but I'm not 100% sure. I post in Later in Life, so that might explain it. Is wearing a baseball cap backwards part of being a "bro?" I think it's a funny word. Describe a "bro" ... with examples.

If you want a crash course in Bro-ology, I'll be glad to give it.
As for me, every time I hear the word "bro", I immediately think of this:

Something I don't find appealing enough to add to my vocabulary.

A "kewl" name to call a friend, I guess.

I use "bro/bruh" to people I am close to and they dont seem to have a problem with it... or that's what I think?

It's either just a term referring to any guy, or sometimes people use it to describe the jock-like frat-boy type.

    For me, it's anything with a pulse. Men=bro, Women=bro, Non-binary=bro, Parents=bro, Brothers=bro (that one actually works, though  ), Pets=bro, Birds=bro.

I guess it's kinda like dude, in that it's just a word generally used to refer to a male, except bro suggests a stronger relationship than dude does.

The context I've heard it is in the latter but I instantly pictured baseball cap backwards.

I've used it mostly sarcastically with my friend because his brother (who is a jerk and we hate him) calls him that often.. so it's basically how we make fun of him, otherwise idk, its a hard word for me to take seriously

There is a whole "bro" culture and they love adding "bro" to words; bromance, bromosexual, Edgar Allen Bro, Bilbro Braggins, bromotional, BROLO. Those words are like acid to my soul.
