I watched Yu-Gi-Oh. It was one of the first anime I ever saw. I think the ending was a bit of a downer... I haven't finished watching Zexal. I find it entertaining enough. I've also watched Cardfight Vanguard and Battle Spirits Brave. Those anime also use card battles. I've never played Yu-Gi-Oh, but I've played the Pokemon trading card game... many years ago. I've also played 2 Bakugan Battle Brawlers games on my PS3.
I havent actually watched it, but when I was younger I used to play it and collect the cards. I had a pretty awesome deck and some quite powerful cards, and I did have one dragon which sells for a lot of money now on ebay, but I dont have it anymore so i cant sell. >.<
Eh, I'm more of an MtG kind of guy. Mostly because of the art. Yu-Gi-Oh's design tries waaay too hard to be "edgy" and to me it just comes across as tacky. MtG is a hell of a lot more classy (and at times just downright gorgeous).
This, mostly. But I will say, some of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card designs, like Stardust Dragon, look amazing. There's some great art to be found. I used to have a Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck. I know, I'm sooooo original, but it was tweaked and was playable. Of course, this was before each new series introduced, game-breaking cards and techniques, making anything from earlier on almost unplayable. Also, Jinzo was an awesome card. Great effect, slick design.
I used to read the comic, watch some episodes and play the game (both online and in real life) when I was younger
I played the TGC for sooooooo long. 6-16? With breaks inbetween that is. I love yugioh and it will always have a special place in my heart. It's too much of a expense for me to continue playing it. I would rather spend it on something my mother wouldn't drive me crazy about buying.
