I have this thing where I have to be at least 20 minutes early, and if I'm not I get anxious. My friends call it "Time OCD" I was kinda surprised when I google time anxiety stuff actually popped up.

Anybody else feel the NEED to be early or they feel anxious?

Yes! I have to be early or I get really upset. I live 15 minutes away from work but I still leave an hour early.

I don't personally experience that anxiety, but everyone experiences social anxiety at varying degrees. There are many people who become anxious when they do not arrive early because they unconscious have a fear of not only how people perceive them. Especially if they are heading to an event or area in which there will be a lot of people because it draws more attention to them to be late.

I do, however, get extremely anxious when I begin my day late. I rarely sleep in on weekends and holidays because I feel as though I am wasting time and it usually marks the beginning of an unproductive day.

Not exactly but I feel like if I don't do something like a simple little task fast or a certain amount of time then I'll die or something

I am kind off opposite, I am late almost everytime. Or I leave the last minute so I am right on time.

My only observation is that you are more likely to piss other people off by being late than by being early. If you are frequently late it tells other people that their time is of no importance and that's not going to go well for you. If you are early you may have to wait sometimes, but other times your punctuality can work in your favour.

I think being on time is a sign of respect to the person you meet, and viceversa... Plus I prefer killing time than being on a hurry.

I don't think I would say "ocd" or any other label. There is a reason behind it, it's not irrational, even if it's ironical to be on a rush to avoid being on a rush...
Here in Germany it's part of the culture.

I have wicked time anxiety. Even if it's people late with me, for example if a friend is giving me a ride to school and they aren't at my house when they told me they would I get extremely anxious and worried. It bothers me because my whole family is late for everything and likes to take their time and I like to be prompt and on time and get things done with so I can move onto the next one. Wasting time is also something that bothers me too.

I have the opposite; I feel anxious unless I'm just a bit late.

Makes it seems as if my life is full of all these important events, with me rushing from one to the other, amidst the city traffic. Which is untrue except the traffic.

I'm always late for everything even for very important events. I'm just late. In fact I am so consistently late that my friends have to include me being late into the plans.

Once it just happened that I missed a long haul flight which almost invalidated a 2200 euros return ticket because reasons...

I always insist on being 20 minutes early for school, or else I feel like I'm late. It's weird.

Although I do really enjoy sitting by myself in the library before everyone else arrives.

I agree. We can look on the internet and find all manner of things that might apply to us and then label ourselves. Best not to, because there is nothing wrong with good time-keeping.

My band teacher has said "If you are on time you are late." The times he gives us are the start times for meetings and rehearsals. I always get there at least 15 minutes before the call time. If I'm not there 15 minutes before my friends text me and ask if I am coming.
