Central Banks?

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by anthonythegamer, May 1, 2015.

  1. I've been reviewing for my AP U.S History Exam for next Friday and I came across something that was thought-provoking and split the U.S apart before the issue of slavery came about.

When the U.S was brand new, Alexander Hamilton created the Bank of the United States to manage the nation's money and issue loans. Problems like its constitutionality, inflation, and uncontrolled loaning came up and fast forward to 2015, politicians are talking about whether to audit the Federal Reserve, our current central bank.

Central banks are something I'm trying to understand. I feel like if you're a federal institute that doesn't want the public to know what you're doing behind those doors, I feel like something's up. But I want to know why some people don't want an audit.

    Guys..... help?
