poll: who did you tell first friends or family

My best friend. I cant tell any of my family members because they are all homophobics

 

My family, I wish I told my friends first.

 

My family does not know and I do not plan on telling. I told some of my friends first.

 

My best friend. He's super with this shit and his perspective of me hasn't changed. He just said "oh, you like a dick and tits? cool". Can't tell my family. They're accepting but they'll say shit like "it's just a phase".

 

The only person I have told is my mom, I have no friends and the rest of my family isn't really that accepting.

 

I started with my family. But I wish I'd gone with my friends first! They were much more supportive, generally speaking.

I told one friend first and then after having told her I told my family

 

First person I ever told was a friend. So was the second -- and then after that, I slowly became more and more out on campus. Basically all my friends and several acquaintances knew before I even thought of telling my family.
Thing is, I chose my friends. I knew they'd all be cool with it. Not so with my family.

 

I told a bunch of friends at school first (that I'm attracted to women) and it spread all around school like wildfire. Then somehow it reached home and my parents found out.

 

I told a very close friend first, then came my sister, a few days later my parents and after that I told the rest of my friends.

 

Of course I told my friends first. My parents would probably kill me if they knew..

 

Most of my friends knew about a month prior to my parents. I was a bit worried that it would be leaked to my parents before I told them. So I eventually told them. Even though I was totally freaked out to tell them still.

It all worked out though

 

I told people, who I believed were my friends, only to turn against me later, that I was gay.

I told my grandmother that I wanted to be a boy.

Basically, I came out to the wrong people TWICE! :bang:
Oh, well. You live and you learn.

 

Friends. If it was awkward, well, then you don't have to live with them.

Thankfully everyone has been good or great so far.

Friends. It easier to tell them first as you aren't as close to your friends than you are to your family. More of my friends know than family.

 

Family, my brother (if I remember it correctly). =)

 

Family. I wouldn't want them to hear it from someone else but me, so I decided I would tell everyone in my family first.
